  1. Hey folks. I'm one week post-op (and down 18 pounds!) and I can't seem to find the right calcium. My program (Johns Hopkins) wants me to take chewable calcium CITRATE. I can find it in pill form, and I can find chewable calcium CARBONATE and other molecules. Can anyone help?? Thanks

    Please help

I am having surgery on Monday morning. I've been careful, thorough and dedicated all along, but now I find that I'm TERRIFIED. Not so much about the surgery (though some about that!) as about post-surgery. What if I regret it? What if life isn't normal and fun any more? Am I making an incredibly drastic decision?? I know I can't lose what I need to lose alone. And I hear everyone here say how thrilled they are. I want that. Please help with my last minute jitters!!!

    Please help

Thank you so much, everyone. I'm on a business trip, in a hotel, kind of freaking out a little bit. I want this so badly! I just don't want to regret it, have it go wrong, or have it not work... The same fears I hear others express here -- and almost everyone, hundreds and hundreds of posters, say they're beyond-happy and have gotten their lives back. I'm trying to keep that in mind. I'd love to hear from people what they worried about that didn't come true, and what they should have worried about instead. Thanks so much for the support!!! The more I get tHe better I feel!
  4. Hello folks. Im doing the pre-op rounds now. Today I got stuck twice, had an EKG and a chest X-ray. Fun! A couple Qs:

    Tattoos, pre-op diet

Oops, hit send too soon. Darn iPhone. So the Qs, I haven't been put on any kind of pre-op diet, other than the day before surgery. Anyone know why? Should I be worried? Secondly, how have people's tattoos done with all the weight loss? Do they still look ok? Thanks folks. April 22nd,

    I need your wise words

I'm set to have surgery in less than two weeks -- April 22nd. I find that I'm not at all worried about the actual surgery, but very anxious about changing my relationship to food. What if I miss it terribly? Will I be able to enjoy dining out with my husband? What will I do to Celebrate accomplishments and joys, or drown depression and sorrows, if I can't eat? Please tell me about your experiences. I need your wise words. Thank you. This is my first post, btw. I've been lurking for ages and have found this forum to be extremely helpful.
