Sleeved April 29. Lost 58 pounds so far. My bigger fear is that I will weigh myself and not see a loss. So far so good. I am obsessed though.I was sleeved Apr 22 and have lost 57lbs so far. I was weighing myself daily and sometimes twice a day morning and night. Speaking with my dr yesterday she suggested once a week in the am with no clothes on. She said daily or more than once a day is not an accurate reading the body fluctuates Water retention throughout the day. For accurate reading once a week. So I am trying not to look at the scale. Great progress everyone. Lets all keep up the great weight loss.

Awe yay I'm glad I feel so bad for those who have the complications afterwards ' date=' it's a hard enough choice as it is .
Also ! That's what I'm nervous about , my doctor or nut has not said anything to me about Vitamins or Protein ! I feel like everyone is starting Protein ASAP and here I am , only told to be on Clear Liquids , Even after calling to clarify . I had assumed that it would be brought up this Thursday at the follow up appointment[/quote']
Hey there. Great to hear your feeling so great. I too felt great no complications. I was on clear liquids for 7 days days after surgery. On the 8th day I started my Protein shakes. Started Vitamins if I remember correctly when I went on mushy food which was about 3- 4 weeks after surgery. B12, multi Vitamin chewable, Calcium with Vitamin D chewable. Feel great. Lost 53 lbs in 11 weeks. Struggle to get all my protein in. But still working on it. Good luck on your journey.

I am seeing the docs at Crystal Run Healthcare in Middletown but thinking of switching. I just cannot find info on Dr Judd. I wanted to know what his success rate is.
I never heard of Dr Judd. TrinState Bariatrics is pretty big. They also have an office in rockland county

Anthoula did they make you do a pre-op?Yes I did pre-op. but unfortunately I had multiple ankle surgeries and didn't lose any do to the fact I was bed written for months due to the ankle surgeries.

That's awesome! I can't even imagine yet what the wight loss will feel like! I have my surgery on minds
T. Just had my pre-op today. So far everyone at the center has been really nice' date=' my surgeon is great! How are you feeling 11 weeks out?[/quote']
I feel awesome. I had no problems at all. No complications. No pain meds when I left hospital. I was up and about 3 days after surgery. Just got really tired I was asleep by 8pm the first couple of weeks. It's amazing how great I feel. I'm very blessed that it was very easy for me. I have read on here a lot of people had lots of complications and I feel bad posting that I had none. Good luck to you. I hope your recovery is as easy as mine was. R u also seeing the drs in Middletown?

Anyone from the Hudson Valley Area in NY? If so' date=' who did your surgery?[/quote']I am from the Hudson Valley. Dr Weiss from Tri-State Bariatrics in Middletown did my surgery. He is a great surgeon love all the staff. The only thing is all the Drs in the practice are very stiff. ( no personality or bed side manner) but great surgeons. I had surgery 11 weeks ago and have already lost 52lbs since surgery.

It worked for my overnight. I took it at 9pm and had to go by 7am. I took the full dose and it didn't make me go all day.

Speaking of which... I am actually in the process of trying to figure which kind of contraception to go with... I have only been on it once for several months' date=' the pill, and I gained weight and was extremely hormonal.. so ibreally don't want that... I've heard about mirena, but I've also heard the no so good side of mirena, is t true u stop getting ur period with mirena? That doesn't seem right.. but anyway,, what kinds have you tried/are on and what would u recommend since the pill is NOT an option for me[/quote']I have the Mirena for over 7 years. Had the first one for 5 and then had it changed. It all depends on person but yes it does stop your period. It releases a minimal amount of hormone. You can have some break thru bleeding but all in all I love my Mirena. Only thing now is I went 7 years with a couple of very light to no periods. I had surgery on 4/22/13 lost 39lbs and since surgery I have gotten period for the past 2 months. It sucks.

Hey there, I have a pair of black soft leather pants I wore about 14 years ago. I refused to get rid of them. I will get my ass into them again. Was sleeved 4/22/13 and down 38lbs as of today. I have a ways to go but as I said before I will fit into them again. I can't wait.

Some stalls last a long time but it will kickstart back (at least that's what I've heard). I'd love to hear what people eat. I know that question wasn't for me but I'll share as well:Breakfast was one scrambled egg (really struggle putting Protein powder in it) with .8 oz reduced fat turkey sausage (kroger brand)' date=' and 1 oz unsweetened applesauce. lunch was 2.6 oz light tuna with 1 hardboiled egg, 1 tbsp low fat mayo and some mustard (could only eat half of the portion I made), dinner was 2 oz baked salmon with a little bit of BBQ Sauce on it (NUT will probably yell at me for the bbq sauce) and a 1 oz side of canned carrots, and my snack was 1wedge of laughing cow light cheese garlic and herb with .5 oz stacys naked pita chips.
I'm not allowed to eat raw fruit or vegetables unless completely cooked/softened and I can't have any ruffage yet.[/quote']
Thanks for the response. I was told I can only have 1 meal with the 2 Protein shakes. So if I have breakfast then lunch and dinner must be a shake. I can have cooked and raw veggies and salad. I was also told no dairy except for Greek yogurt and cottage cheese ( which I don't like). U should try low sodium soy sauce on the salmon it's yummy.

I have 2 Protein shakes a day and in usually do 3oz Protein 3 oz of a veggie or 3oz salad I will have 1 snack during the day which usually is fruit. hey there I was sleeved on 4/22/13 and down 22.5lbs. and this was my first week on soft foods, dr told me that my 3oz of Protein should be like a Canned tuna Fish consistency. I found canned chick breast which is pretty good I added a half a tsp of fat free mayo some pepper and made chicken salad. I also boiled 3 oz carrots until they were very soft add a 1/2 tsp oc low sodium chicken broth and mash it with the fork. That was my first meal. I tolerated it pretty well. Also grilled salmon is very soft and tender. I was told to do 2 shakes and 1 meal. I prefer to eat my meal at dinner with my family. But was told plain Greek yogurt with a lemon crystal light mix is really good( never tried yet) low fat cottage cheese, egg whites. You will be surprised how 3 oz really fills you up. I have 1 more week on soft foods. Good luck.

Just from reading on here every dr is different. I an 3 weeks post op. Day after surgery i was on Water and crystal light for 5 days and then adding Protein Shakes 3 a day plus all my Fluid intake for 2 weeks. I just started soft foods yesterday. I was told no Soups and def no mashed potatoes. But again every dr is different. Good luck.
