  1. I use Flintstones- one in the am, one in the afternoon.
  2. I'm a year out and I still use protein supplements most days. At first my doc wanted me off shakes/bars, but when he realized how active I am & my goals, he told me to keep them. Also, the original plan was to eat 3 times per day, one snack if needed-- I can only eat MAX 4 oz at a time, so that would've been impossible. And also, my PCP encouraged me to eat more often d/t low blood sugar. So I now eat 5-6 times a day, about 2-4oz at a time. It keeps my blood sugar pretty level at a comfortable 80, so I don't worry so much when I workout. So my norm is 80-100 grams of protein per day.
  3. Is 48 greens of Protein enough for a 12 hour shift? I worked 11 hours today (hadn't planned on it) and was scared when I only got in 54g of protein. Because it was an 11-11 shift, I woke up at a "normal" 4am (lol). So I ate before work as well. This is just what I packed.
  4. @@millergirl314 lol. I'm in love with small containers. They seem so normal to me now, but everyone at work gets a kick out of them!
  5. Oh wow. Just wow. Hubby owes you a nice gift now. Lol
  6. Mmm... I'm thinking I might trade that CIB for a Quest bar I have in my purse.
  7. @@Scylla - I've been CRAVING chicken salad.. I'll have to make some next week when I have a couple days off @@QueenBeeBee - salmon, cc, & avocado-- sounds like a yummy combo!

    Planking

** the "plank" I'm speaking of is most yogas' "hover" (down on elbows, not up on hands)... Just realized we were talking yoga, sorry.

    Planking

When I started I could only do it for a few seconds... Now a few minutes. A nice NSV for me.
  10. Cheeseburger, chicken, & beans... So happy it's BBQ season! My sleeve loves this.

    Getting this tightened up!

So exciting! Please post after pics! I'd love to see them!
  12. I'm glad to see what we're doing works for both of us.
  13. It's doable. I promise. If you just eat 3 meals per day, that's over 60 grams of protein- so with 2 snacks (at about 10 grams each), it's pretty easy. But that being said, not everyone has the rule of no supplements. I'm saying I can't eat 7 oz... As in physically impossible (it's not a rule I put on myself).
  14. I have the same pain under my right shoulder blade and sometimes towards my right shoulder. I contributed it to weight lifting, but maybe not... I'll focus a little more on posture and see if that helps.
  15. So beautiful! And healthy! Congratulations!!!

    medical bracelets for Sleevers?

Just the other day my patient was intubated, had an NG, and extubated & removed the NG before we could get ahold of any family. So, it happens. My biggest fear isn't an NG, But to be lavaged-- ah!

    Fluids

Of course your urine is more concentrated in the morning, but it shouldn't be "very dark." How many oz of liquid are you getting?
  19. Can you eat 7 oz?? I think I would die... Like, just explode.
  20. Lol. My husband and I were celebrating one night (post-sleeve) and went to a really nice restaurant. I told the waiter I didn't want a drink... "How about just a Water?" "No, thank you." "But the water is free." I'm sitting there dressed in well over $40,000 of jewelry & an expensive handbag... And I'm about to spend over $150 for a meal that I'm only eating 4 bites from.... Uh, I'm not really worried if the water is free. LOL

    is PPI a must?

I was never prescribed it - never needed it. But that sounds like a decision you and your doc should make together.

    "The girls" aren't lifting weights!

I no longer have breasts... Just saggy nipples. Oh so sad. Luckily silicone & a lift will fix that one day. Age: 26
  23. It really depends on how you're feeling. You might feel like a train wreck, you might feel ok. I felt good on day 5, but probably not good enough to do bridesmaid duties.

    Best Advice

So, I've gotten some great advice & learned from some great mentors here on BP. This is what I I follow... The best advice I've ever received (and I live by it): 1) UNDER-EAT YOUR SLEEVE ..... "I can eat 1cup of rice. Is that to much"... Well, yeah. If your doc tells you 1/2 cup of food, why are you even putting a cup in front of you??? Other great advice: 2)Water WATER WATER 3)you aren't a naturally thin person, don't try to live like one.
