Just hanging on to a few more pounds....

Good point about carb intake... I may be taking in too many fruits (I love my grapes). I think I'll try to switch up my Snacks. I don't really do grains, but I'm comfortable with that. And good reminder about Water intake- I tend to slack on water when I'm at work. Thanks!!!

    Outpatient

I had surgery as op. I had the surgery around 10am, spent some time in recovery, and left at about 2pm.

Just hanging on to a few more pounds....

Thanks for y'all (mostly) supportive comments!! lol I'm really committed to losing the last bit I want as I'm hoping to one day compete. Trying to grow those muscles!!! (But losing fat at the same time) It's quite a challenge, but I'm loving the results thus far. Good luck all you vets!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!!
  5. I didn't realize how much this varies by surgeon. I had 3.

    Recommendations to lose 100 lbs

So, this is do-able. But I agree with the above, I would not give yourself a time limit. But here's MY advice on eating (take it, or leave it): do whatever is realistic for YOU. for example, if you are someone who could NEVER give up potatoes, then why do it temporarily? You would set yourself up for failure later in the process. For me, giving up rice/bread/pasta was a realistic goal... I still don't eat or want those foods. Here's the absolute BEST advice given to me--- Always UNDEREAT your sleeve (this can go for any WLS). There are so many posts about eating a cup of rice or multiple slices of pizza.... Why?? If your limit is "x" why are you going above that??? My limit is 4 oz and thats what I eat... Sometimes less, but never more. And, of course, Protein first.
  7. Compressions do wonders. Lol

    Reflux? Is it awful?

I had reflux before the surgery due to obesity & poor diet.... But none since the sleeve.
  9. Thank you thank you!! Flat belly??? Haha. No. But I'm looking forward to plastics.... Hopefully sometime next year. Hoping to get rid of some of this loose skin. I do cardio maybe once per week. I lift weights most days. I do yoga 1-2 times per week as well.

Big NSV for me: my grandmother put aside this ring when I was born. It was given to me years ago after she passed. This is the first time I can actually fit it.

    Vitamins

I use Flintstones Complete. I'm nearly 1.5 years out and completely healthy. I just had bloodwork done last week... The only thing abnormal was my "high" B 12 level... Imagine that! LOL

    Lets talk skin

Please understand that this is a huge possibility after weight loss. I was 25 when I had surgery - no children - took care of myself and skin very well - and I'm a gym rat... But my skin is very saggy & wrinkled on my belly as well as under my arms and my inner thighs.

    Boudoir Photos

Figured the powder Room was a good place for this.... As a WTG gift to myself, I've scheduled a boudoir photo session next week with a really amazing photographer. I've seen many women on this site list this as a reward for themselves-- I thought this was a brilliant idea... Something to make you feel beautiful and sexy--- but now I just feel nervous. haha. I'm wondering how Ill explain that I don't want to accentuate my batwings or loose skin??? lol And now I've been practicing my "sexy face"... Yeah, not so sexy. lol Good luck to me!

    Flex for me!

Hey everybody! Hope everyone is doing AWESOME!! Let's brag/celebrate: Show me your muscles!!! I don't care where you are in your weight loss, I want to see you flex! (Guys & girls) - arms, legs, back, whatever. I just recently starting lifting more. I was a little discouraged at first because I had lost so much strength while losing weight. But now I'm starting to see progress, and I'm super excited!!
