Should have type of Protein Drinks. powder and ready to drink. sugar free Jello, pudding, and popsicles. chicken and beef broth. A lot of people start there. Did you get guidelines from your surgeons office. And sugar free crystal light or other Water flavors

Hi all. I just wanted to share my first major nsv. I actually went into Walmart with my husband and walked the entire store to get what we needed. Before I could barely make it half way through our shopping and I would go wait on the benches outside the store. I am excited to already notice a difference even before surgery.

I feel the same way at times. I have not had surgery yet. But knowing that so many others have started at or above where I am makes me see it can be done. I get so much inspiration from the people on these forums. Feel so glad I found them.

So glad for you. I know it is hard going through stalls.

it was almost three weeks, which i know is not long for some, but it was hard for me. i kept doing everything that they said and one day i ate maybe 1100-1200 calories and then the next day went back down and it was a couple days later when i weighed lost 10 pounds, and now 7 more. i dont know that it helps all but it helped me

Hi there, I felt that way too. I weighed today and lost another 7 pounds, so 57 so far. I do know that I ate a little more 1 day and then went back to my regular 500-800 calories and I finally broke my stall.

no i have blue cross clue shield of illinois, i looked up exercise on youtube, search "exercise for obese beginners" there is a whole series of exercise that starts out slow and builds up. Now i use the strongest resistance bands i could find, during the whole workout, i do that for an hour then i do 4-5 sets of lifting weights (arms, lat pull downs, and leg lifts) i have a weight bench at home. and i walk on my gazelle glider.

Hi all. My surgery is july 22. I am so excited to get this journey underway. Has anyone else had problems getting the Protein Shakes down? For the most part they smell how tube feeding smells and I have a hard time drinking them. Open to suggestions to get over the visual in my head that I'm drinking tube feeding.
