  7. Hello.. I had surgery April 1st. I received Lovenox shots in the hospital but was not given any for home. My doctor just instructed me to walk ALOT to keep the blood flowing and to speed up the herling process. I rarely had a period before my surgery but 3 days after my surgery my period came for a week! Im not sure if it was a result of the surgery or my nerves! All doctors are different my doctor didnt believe the shots were necessary

  10. Hey all! I was recently sleeved April 1.. felt like my normal self since day 9 as far as pain is concerned and not being able to eat a lot at all. Started soft foods Monday. Made two scrambled eggs for breakfast and only got half in before I was stuffed.. I couldn't believe it In addition to my sleeve, I also had my gallbladder removed and a hernia in my chest repaired! SW 282 CW 257 No pre-op diet Best decision I have every made for myself. Good luck to everyone and a speedy recovery!

  12. Hey My sleeve Sista! I feel really good actually.. I am also on pureed/soft foods! Had a taste for scambled eggs today made 2 eggs today with a little bit of cheese and could only get half in! I just saves the rest for lunch.. Its so crazy that is all my stomach at this time! I use to be able to eat eggs, pancakes, turkey bacon and a side of homefries. I have also made ricotta bake which is really good and some had chilli from Wendys'. About 4 spoonfuls and I am done. I walk about 3 miles every other day. My hubby and I actually did 8 miles on Sunday! It was great. I am just struggling with the Fluid intake. I probably get about 40oz a day if that. SW is 282 CW is 255 I have a long way to go.. goal weight is 170-180 since i am 5"9.
  13. Thanks It lasted 3 days then went away.. Thank God! I was soo stressed about it..
  14. JennyBeth...I also agree with u! I have been overweight most of my life and to be given a goal of 150 seems very unrealistic however with my bodyframe I just believe I would look "sick". My head is big! Lol once I get to my goal it would be a better indication if I should continue or maintain.
  15. Thanks lilbearzmom for responding. I totally agree with u! I have a long way to go to my goal weight but I will get there
  16. Thanks Goldiva This one wasn't the exact one I was looking for however it is still a great tool!

  18. I am now experiencing your symptoms minus the shoulder pains. What was your outcome?
  19. Hey Everyone. So I am currently 11 days post op Went to see my doctor had a very smooth appointment. Currently down 23 lbs no pre-op diet. So here's' the issue.. I was previously 283 lbs as of tonight I am 258. I am 5'8. My doctor would like to see me at about 150 pounds. I understand he wants the best for me. With my shape I was thinking maybe 185. I seen previously someone posted a site that you can see what a certain weight looks like on a certain body frame. Does anyone have the name of that website? Or is anyone near my weight or goal weight that has pics? I have a long way to go just would like some insight. Thanks
  20. I will definitely give this a try! Thanks
  21. Process went fairly smooth for me. Before searching for a surgeon I inquired with Aetna to see what their qualification were since all plans are different. For my specific plan I had to get a psy, pulmonary and meet with my surgeon 3 times for 90 days to discuss weight nutrition and ect. Oh and also 2 years of weight history. It took four days for an approval. I was sleeved on 4/1/13 Start to finish took 4 months which includes the 3 months of visits with my surgeon. Good Luck to all those waiting for an appoval
  22. Hey Ladies I had my first appointment with my doctor today. He advised me that he doesn't routinely give the shots unless past medical history warrants it such as blood disorders ect. He encouraged that I walk alot! A Lot! I am only 8 days post op however I have been walking about 2 miles everyday since day 3 and also getting up every hour to do something. Blood clots are just so scary. Thanks everyone for commenting. Sorry I am sooo late responding, I for some reason don't get alerts when the threads I create receives a response. I am down 16 pounds since 4/1, no preop diet just had to do a liquid diet 24 hours before surgery. I look forward to being sucessful as many of u
