  1. I'm only 4 days out, but I can't handle things that taste sweet. My sugar free Jell-O is too sweet for me to eat. I don't throw it up but I feel super bloated.
  2. Okay, not to be gross, but now I am slightly concerned. I had another BM again today. Is that normal? I'm only 4 days post op.
  3. I go in for my 1 week post op appointment on Tuesday as well. I hope that I've lost some weight. I don't really feel like I'm losing anything, but surely I am. I haven't had food in over a week!
  4. My surgery was the 17th. I have no idea how much I've lost since surgery because I haven't bought a scale yet. I lost 11.5 pounds on my pre-op diet though.
  5. It took me a while to fart too...lol! Don't worry too much, once you start you'll just keep on poppin' lolol!
  6. My doctor was very specific about the amount of liquid going in! I'm only allowed 1oz of fluid every fifteen minutes!
  7. I was sleeved on 9/17 and I had my first BM today! I was surprised ... really didn't expect that to happen so soon!
  8. Okay, so maybe TMI, but I had my first bm. I didn't expect it to happen so soon.
  9. The pre-op diet wasn't so bad. When I was on the liquid diet, I thought I was going to die. I cried a lot! But at the same time it just reminded me of why I needee this surgery. Its crazy to think that I could get so upset just because of food. All of that is different now and I am so glad. Once I heal up and can start exercising, I think I will finally be able to lose weight!
  10. Wow! Its crazy how it can affect everyone so differently. I don't feel hungry at all. But after I sleep and wake up I can tell that I'm empty. But my 1oz fluid cup handles that!
  11. I LOVE this forum! Everyone is always very kind and helpful! Welcome!
  12. Hey y'all, I was the same on the pre-op diet! I was STARVING to death! Told my hubs I was thinking about backing out of surgery just so I could go eat! I went on the 17th, did the surgery, and woke up with a completely different attitude about food! I wasn't hungry anymore and food didn't have the hold on me that it used to! I would lay in the hospital watching pizza commercials and be like whatever ... they didn't bother me at all! Just hang in there you guys! The hunger will be gone!!! I'm only 3 days out and surgery wasn't nearly as bad as I expected!
  13. A little off topic, but instead of making a new thread figured I'd ask here .... can you microwave a protein drink after it's been made? I tried the Unjury chicken soup this morning (OMG WIN!) and it's gotten cold and I was wondering if I could like nuke it for a minute?
  14. When I got out of surgery and the next day, I had NO gas pain at all. After that second night, I started having a little but still didn't pass gas until the next day. I'm STILL trying to get all of the gas out because it's still there. I can feel it especially when I drink my 1oz of fluid. I was finally allowed to use the Gas-X strips once I got home and they do help a lot.
  15. I get a little pain when I drink too - then I burp and I'm fine. It's odd. Broth has been the easiest thing for me to drink so far.
  16. I was interested in this as well! I had my last BM on Monday and then my surgery was Tuesday. I was curious to know how long it would take. I know I'm not really eating anything, but I was thinking something should still come out lol.
  17. My surgery was Tuesday. I think I only got in like 43-45 ounces of fluid yesterday. I'm doing even worse today. I'm still so exhausted that I keep falling asleep and missing my 1oz every fifteen minutes. They didn't allow me to have any protein in the hospital. I started it today when I got home.
  18. And I'm on my way home now too.
  19. My doc and the nurses are not too concerned. They think the fever is just a reaction to the surgery. The hot arm - no one has a clue, but they don't think its anything to be worried about. Although they did say it might be from the meds I'm on. I'm feeling tons better today though.
  20. My doc would not let me use gas x strips - she said it was better to let the gas come out on its own. The heating pad was also a no go.
