  3. i was sleeved 11.12.13 as well. starting weight was 257, was 242 on date of surgery. i hit my goal of 150 in jan 2015, two weeks later i found out i was pregnant. put on 42lbs with the pregnancy, i had my baby 7weeks ago and am struggling to get my restriction back. im down to 177 but worried i won't be able to lose the rest. ive tried the poucb test and lost nothing and i put myself on just Protein Shakes last week to try to jumpstart this

  4. i had my baby on September 28th. my final weight was 192 (started at 150). at my 2 week check up i was 177. been going crazy because i haven't lost another pound since, i tried the 5 day pouch test and it did nothing. i had really minimal restriction, last Thursday, i put myself on shakes only and will do this until this Thursday, i hope ot will jumpstart my retstriction and weight loss, any advice would be appreciated

  5. I am 38 weeks and up 42 lbs (had lost 107 after surgery) so I am still about 66 lbs lighter than I was. To me I feel like I look huge, but everyone tells me that I still look very thin and I have had people look shocked when I tell them I am having the baby in a mere 10 days. CO workers are saying that I only look around 5months.

  6. I am having my baby in 10 days via c section. I started at 150, currently weighing in at 192. I was constantly hungry most of the pregnancy, but as of last week I notice I am not eating as much. Not sure if its the restriction coming back, or if its just that ive run out of room. Cannot wait to see my little girl and start feeling normal again!

  7. Congrats on your pregnancy. I am nearly 31 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child (found out at 14months post op). This is my first POST OP pregnancy, and I have to say its been very different. In the first trimester I had the same symptoms that you have, I only put on 4 lbs in the first 3 months. I was basically either nauseated or hungry at any given time and when I would eat, I was so disgustingly bloated and had the same shortness of breath. I was literally starving every 2 hrs from the second half of my first trimester all the way through middle of trimester 2 Its a completely normal symptom of early pregnancy.

The nausea and bloating should subside within a few weeks or so, Now that I am nearly due, Some of those early symptoms are returning, I am not nauseated, but I am feeling horribly bloated, and have shortness of breath You can try some gas ex and see if that helps? Ive put on 30 lbs so far and am feeling beyond done at this point.

Just try to hang in there as best you can and good luck to you.

  8. Congrats to everyone on the pregnancies and hope you are all doing well, I am currently 20 months post op and nearly 30 weeks pregnant. This is my 3rd child, but my first post op. Im feeling ok, just the normal pregnancy woes. It def took me some time to adjust to thought of gaining weight. and I find it quite strange to have that hunger feeling again since I spent pretty much all of the time before that not feeling hungry at all. Ive put on about 30 lbs thus far. Im going to try not to worry about it for now and just enjoy this ride! I am due October3rd

  9. I havent posted since Jan 30 of this year, I finally hit my goal of 107lbs lost and got to 150lbs! After that i stalled for 2 weeks and found out i was pregnant! its been a bit of a rollercoaster ride as the pregnancy was a complete surprise to us. Ive struggled with body image and cravings since getting pregnant, i must say that this pregnancy is totally different than my previous 2 pre op pregnancies. i have currently put on 21lbs at nearly 25 weeks!

  10. @@proudgrammy

thanks so much! thats so funny that you say that about ur hubby pulling little ol you off the floor, my bf and i love to "playfight" and "wrestle" he never even used to be able to move me. now im flying all over like a rag doll lol. im glad to be able to hear everyones journey and share mine! thanks for your support

  11. Wow, so happy for you. And so motivating to me. We had the same starting weight. I sure hope I can hit 150. I'd be more than happy with that.

we are the same height too! you can totally do it. i hit a great stride around august-november, the last bit was slower coming off. I never imagined being here. keep pushing your way to goal!

  12. I finally reached goal weight of 150lbs at a little more than 14 months out! i am so ecsatatic! I dont think i have EVER been 150lbs in my life....this has been an incredible journey. So to date i have lost 107lbs (started at 257). now for the stretch goal!

  13. Today i Celebrate my one year surgiversary! I am so proud of everything that i have accomplished. I started at 257lbs and am now dow 98 pounds in total. My current weight is 159lbs. I am still a few pounds away from my goal but i am happier than i have ever been in my life. I have struggled with my weight since i was a little girl. I had such an intense loathing for the way i looked most of my life. I feel like this surgery has changed me so much mentally and physically. before i had pain all over my body, Migraines, depression etc. I would refuse to even look at people. Now i have gained so much confidence and it feels so good! i chase my kids around the park for hours while before i was only able to go for about 30 mins. i wouldnt exercise at all and I was treating myself horribly by gorging myself on food. now i feel like i actually know what real NUTRITION is. its not just stuffing my face. its all about giving my body fuel, and using that fuel for energy. One of the best parts is that i can go about my day and not have to think about food every second. Before i literally felt like i was that little boy in the movie d**k Tracy, all i could say is "when do we eat?" I wouldnt trade my sleeve for anything. So for the first time here are my before and after pics.

  14. Wow, thank you all! You can't imagine how important it is to me to know that others freaked out, too (even if you didn't run out of the hospital like a chicken). I wish I had known how normal it is beforehand. I probably would have done the surgery. I won't back out again! Rescheduling for next week.

i had 4 surgeries prior to my sleeve and still freaked out! i remember being calm the night before, like incredibly calm. when i got to hospital in my gown is when it started. they had trouble getting my i.v. in and at one point i had 5 iv lines sticking out of my arms before the found a good vein. i was pacing around non stop. though i was scared i knew that this was worth it and that it had to be done. i cried when i got on the operating table. i wasnt scared about the anesthesia but of the actual surgery, but there was a wonderful male nurse with me and he held my hand and calmed me down and before i knew it was out. he was a blessing!

  15. all those sounds your new tummy is making is totally normal! its strange and very loud at times! im 11 months out and it still happens on occasion. what have you been cleared to eat so far? its also normal to find it hard to eat at this time. i was getting in only about a tablespoon of Jello or 1/4 of a scrambled egg. hang in there and take it SLOW! good luck to you

  16. @hopeliveshere...I'm more like you. If my drive is a 2, my hubbie's is a 10. I always thought it was because I hated my body/weight more than anything. I have had my T level checked and it was in the acceptable range.

Fingers crossed that things change as the weight goes down. But I also know our hormones are doing crazy things to us at the same time.

I've never had my T level checked, i just always figured i wasnt a "sexual person". i honestly have to try to think about it for days before so i can get myself like a little caesars pizza ( hot and ready, LMAO)

  17. So many people stall very early out mike, i lost 13 pounds my first week and then stalled from week 1 until i was 2 months. this is a very common thing, its just your body adjusting itself! make sure you are getting all your fluids in! and congrats on your new sleeve.

you might want to lay off the hot sauce so early out though. your stomach is trying to heal right now.

yep, we love those clothing sizes and towel situations :)

hope its ok to jump in with my brand new NSV

    was at parking garage

car was too far away from the place i'm supposed to reach the ticket :o

i was able to lift my teeny tiny rear end up and stretch over to pull the ticket!! :)

new NSV's are hard to come by at 2.5 years

    love the above latest :)
