I've been swallowing them whole from the beginning.Me too, except for the chewable Multivitamin (now I can take the regular kind, thank goodness). I'll be splitting or crushing the Calcium pills that I start taking today - they're huge.

All I brought and used was my iPhone. Just had to make sure it stayed charged. I was only in the hospital overnight, though.

Oh thank goodness it's not just me. I was sleeved last Tuesday 6/18 and haven't lost a thing. I can see changes in my body, however.

I'm preop also' date=' surgery scheduled for 6/18. I'm loading up on Protein and I have been taking Biotin for a few months. I just hear about folks losing hair and it freaks me out, especially with locks.[/quote']I'm also June 18! There are a couple of June 2013 threads in case you wanted to join.
I'm natural and am prepared to go short (again!) if need be.

Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate Chewy Bites. 15 calories each and they come in half a dozen different flavors. You can get them at Amazon or directly from BA.< /div>I've been trying them out and they make me gassy. My body doesn't like the sugar alcohols, I think.
My surgeon is Dr. Sudan and it will happen at Durham Regional. The pre-surgery appointments are Monday, I'm away the next week, then surgery is on June 18!
Does anyone have more than a handful of VSGers at their support group?
Me too! Good luck to you!!!

Did anyone else have to practice chewing and not drinking for 1/2 hour before meals? I'm nervous about this!I've been trying to chew slower... so hard, need to be more mindful of this. Haven't started separating drink and food yet but thanks for the reminder.
Monday is my pre-surgery appointment and surgery on the 18th!

Yay! sleeve sisters! Aww thanks for watching/enjoying my videos! Do you make videos?
I have a channel (neneh99) but I won't be uploading vids. I do have a FB page, however, and just friended you (Neneh Sleevelicious). Speaking of which, get at me on FB June sleevers!
NerdInOregon, we're surgery sisters! Love your YT channel.
Has anyone tried to freeze these?
My surgeon's office has their patient manual online: http://www.dukehealth.org/services/weight_loss_surgery/care_guides/bariatric_surgery_diet_manual/the_recommended_diet_following_bariatric_surgery
But the best would be to see a medical professional who can help you with your specific issues -- everyone's journey is specific to them! Hopefully you can find a primary care physician or nutritionist near you who has worked with bariatric patients.

I always say that I don't have a goal weight or clothing size, just that I look like a "brick house." And that means loads of weight training to improve the shape that I've got.
