Welcome to all the new aussies!!

Well an update I'm pregnant with sleeve baby number 2 and this time it's a boy I haven't really put on too much weight yet but I did put on weight in the 10 months after Madi was born. But at least I'm healthy and once this little guy comes in January I'll be doing all I can to get back to my 81kgs!!!

    Hey Krystal,

We had to go through IVF. I had PCOS so I wasn't ovulating so this was the only way. We could have fallen pregnant naturally this time round as my body was working normally but we had 1 embro left and also hubby works away 4 weeks at a time

  3. Thanks Ausmith. Well I put on 14kgs with the pregnancy and after a week in hospital I had lost 11kgs! I have still to lose those last 3kgs. My restriction isn't as it was before I got pregnant. But it is tigher than it was with the pregnancy. I've just started exercising as of today and it feels great getting back into it. I'll keep you all updated as to how I go

  4. Hey everyone,

Well I had our little daughter on the 29th July. Miss Madison Elsie was born at 6.29pm weight was 7.05lb via emergency c section after an all day labour and her getting stuck. All went well in the end. I thought I'd better let you all know. After a long 2yrs I finally got what I wanted and why I got the sleeve for.

    Cheers Bec

  5. Hey Bec101

    congrats on your 1st child!

how has pregnancy been since surgery? Any Vitamin supplement requirements other than the usual?

Not that I plan on kids but so many people ask me how it would effect pregnancy if it did happen and I don't have an answer for them.

    congrats again :)

Thanks ???? I'm just taking elivet and a caltrate plus. That is it!! My Vitamin levels have been great. And I have been told there is no difference with my pregnancy post op to pre op which is great to know. As long as you see your OB regulary and get your bloods done all is good. I also saw my dietition and my surgeon early on and they were all happy with everything. So if anyone gets pregnant I would say go and see your weightloss team and check in with them too

  6. Hi guys!!!! It's been ages since I was on here!!!! Life has been busy. I'm due to have my first bub next week ????

Everything has been great with the pregnancy and I have only put on about 15kgs which is great. Yes I freaked at first but I'm happy to say it is all in my tummy and some Fluid in the legs. I'm able to eat heaps but still sticking to my normal foods and have no issues with my blood work which is great.

It's awesome to see newbies on here and the oldies too. Keep up the good work guys. The sleeve was the best thing I ever had done

    Cheers Bec

  7. Hi all - been missing myself for over 12 months good to see some familiar names still around.

I pulled out of my surgery one week out in June of last year. Since then have attempted once more with another surgeon and just can't get through that pre-diet. It does awful things to my motivation.

I have made an appointment to see my original surgeon on the Gold Coast again (my family and I have since moved home to Gladstone to be closer to our businesses). I just hope that I can get my way through this time. I know I need this tool to get me where I need to be for my wife, my daughter and I.

Great to hear from you again!! I was wondering how you were going. I hope you can work through the pre op. It is hard but once you get past the first 4 days you feel better. But maybe check with other surgeons that don't require you to do a pre op. Good luck with your journey and I hope you work out the best optionfor yourself. We're all still here for you

    Cheers Bec

  8. Hi Ausmith! 12 months already for u that is awesome. How has ur journey been?

I'm doing well. We had our first full IVF try last month but I lost it after a week. But that's ok. We're trying again in November.

Well this last week I have put on 1.5kgs but I don't know why. But I'll get it off again ????

I think everyone has finally got their lives back and that's why it's so quiet on here. It's great that we have busy lives, but yeah it would be great to hear from everyone from time to time

    Cheers Bec

  9. Hi everyone!!! Sorry I haven't been around for ages. Life def gets busy when you get the weight off!!

Well I have been very busy with all my IVF cycles. We are currently on round 1 of full IVF and am doing the horrible 2 week wait!! But on the up side I had acupunture for my ivf and my friend who did it, helped me with my bowel issues. Since last Saturday I have been going everyday!!

Anyway after a 3 month stall I'm finally losing again!! Yay!! I'm now down to 84.1kgs from my start weight of 142.5kgs. I couldn't be happier. This was the best thing I have ever done.

Life is great and my hubby and I have been camping so much over the last few months. Plus we went to Hayman Island at the start of August for my brothers wedding. We went hiking, in an seaplane and went snorkeling. It was the best second honeymoon. And I felt like I fitted in! Plus it was the first time my brother had seen me since my op! He had to do a double take. It was the best feeling and he gave me the biggest hug ever (he is a person who doesn't do hugs lol)

Anyway ladies and gents. I'll let you all have a great weekend and I'll be dropping by more now.

    Take care Bec

  10. Did anyone with PCOS have trouble losing pre op? I haven't met goal and it's been a year. So I still haven't qualified

I had trouble losing weight when I came off the pill and my PCOS showed it's ugly head. I had tried every diet under the sun and could not lose a gram!! I know it's hard but when I did my 2 week pre op Optifast diet I lost 7kgs. Maybe if u haven't tried a shake diet u might want too. Or go back to ur GP and ask for some help

  11. Well what a night!!! I ended up at the ER at the Mater. After 3 days of major pain when and after I eat the pain was too much. Well I'm now at Sunnybank waiting to get my gallbladder out! Just thought I'd let u all know.

Welcome to all the new people. It's great to see more people joining the group. All the best with ur ops

    Cheers Bec
