  1. I had my surgery on Monday, June 27, 2016, I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy. I'm not going to lie I regretted having surgery for the first few days, once I passed my barium swallow test I noticed that I was able to get liquids down no problem, yesterday my third day postop I was able to get in a matter of 24 hours 60 Fluid ounces without cramping, Jell-O so far Has been the only thing that hurt to swallow. I'm just worried that if I continue to get 60 ounces and I will stretch out my stomach or pop a suture. I'm just worried that if I continue to get 60 ounces and I will stretch out my stomach or pop a suture. I don't know when to tell when my Cut off limit is. When I'm drinking fluids I don't get nauseous I don't feel like I'm going to puke and I don't get cramping so how do I know when to stop to pace myself

  2. I'm Ashley! I tried for the sleeve 3 years ago and was denied twice, fast forward now 3 years later I tried again, jumping through hoop after hoop and 10 months later by the grace of God I was APPROVED! so nervous but excited for this new journey.

    Any advice ??

So nervous/ excited...so many emotions all at once

I'm on depo and other pills to control my PCOS which ha caused me to gain SO Much weight! I can't work out like I'd like because I'm in so much pain.. Wonder if they'll take that into consideration and it'll be enough! :( I've never been below 200 in my life so it's not like I just got fat ya know :( if I don't get this I am doomed idk what I'm going to do :(

  7. So I was denied because atena is looking at my medical records from 4 years ago ( I recently got insurance back so I haven't been at the doctors) in that mean time I gained back 70 lbs and was diagnosed with PCOS and countless other issues so now they think I'm "skinny" when I'm bmi 43 and 278lbs! Now I have to go through this appeal process uhg and get doctor letters and stuff my bmi has fluctuated between 38-43 I'm so nervous they will deny me again!!!! Any advice? Has anyone else been denied too for this issue? Or their bmi but still was approved!???? !! I'm terrified right now

  9. I'm NOT doing the IUD at all.. Heard too many horror stories about people not being able to Conceive after it comes out... My fiend just got the birth control that is in settled under your skin in your arm and is good for 3 years... I might look into that.. Heard bc pills are less effective after getting sleeved maybe that would be a better option? I think it was called nexplannon or something along those lines

  10. Hey I'm new to this site trying to figure it out but I have aetna as well after four denials I was approved .Just let the Lord control your life. And keep appealing. Wish u the best:)

I don't understand why the heck Aetna is doing this and being SO difficult ! My surgeon actually said he has never seen something so ridiculous before in his career dealing with insurance companies its the first time he's seen this happen Im like GO FIGURE!!! My luck! So now I have to get as many doc letters as I can.... Perezjewels what was the reason for denial??? What did you do and how long ago was this!?!
