What Vitamins and pills are all of you sleevers on as a result of the surgery? Trying to get a list going and do some research on everything thanks !! Ashley

Hey everyone!! Just wanted to make a forum seeing if anyone wanted to be "sleeve buddies" and keep in touch through out our journeys! I have just one more NUT apt. and then I can schedule my sleeve surgery date..aiming for June SO EXCITED!!!! If you wanna follow me or vise versa and be accountability partners feel free to add me! So I was denied because atena is looking at my medical records from 4 years ago ( I recently got insurance back so I haven't been at the doctors) in that mean time I gained back 70 lbs and was diagnosed with PCOS and countless other issues so now they think I'm "skinny" when I'm bmi 43 and 278lbs! Now I have to go through this appeal process uhg and get doctor letters and stuff my bmi has fluctuated between 38-43 I'm so nervous they will deny me again!!!! Any advice? Has anyone else been denied too for this issue? Or their bmi but still was approved!???? !! I'm terrified right now

Hey ladies! So Im about to have my VGS in June and the number one factor has got to be because of my PCOS! I just wanted to know if anyone else out there in VGS land have these same issues and if anything has changed since surgery? So Im currently 277lbs and knockin on 300's door. ( uhg) but ever since I graduated highschool I began gaining weight without even eating bad and didnt know why. I would have chronic migraines , irregular periods ( sometimes 2 times a month or not at all) pains in my lower abdomen, acne breakouts,back pain etc and no answers! 2 years ago I finally was diagnosed with PCOS AND WAS PUT ON BIRTH CONTROL TO CONTROL My symptoms and issues. I gained weight on the pill in order to have a regular period but Im still dealing with headaches and migraines EVERY SINGLE DAY, my cysts rupture causing extreme cramping, pain and bleeding! I was told that I cant have kids as of right now. although not physically on my period, I get all of my period symptoms and craving so its causing me to gain more and more weight. Now my knees hurt, my back hurts ( Did I mention Im flat footed as well?) I cant work out because of my constant migraines and pain its horrible! I feel like a failure! I was losing weight and at 190lbs when I developed this and it caused me to go down hill now I feel like a complete freaking failure.When I heard about this surgery I was ALL OVER IT! They told me that getting this surgery and losing this weight will make my PCOS go away, no more chronic migraines, no more infertility, no more cysts rupturing! I couldnt believe it! Im praying to God it works! Its taking such a toll on my life, physically, emotionally and even my schooling. Can anyone out there relate to my pain and able to testify that this surgery helps make PCOS go away!??!?!?!?!?! Advice needed! thank you!!!!!!!! - Ashley

Hello my curvaceous ladies! So I have a question and would like to get some feed back! Currently, Im pre op VSG and Im hoping on having it in june/july. I am taking the pill and I have to be off of it a month prior to surgery and a month after surgery so I dont form a blood clot because of surgery. My fear is that when I get back on the evil pill I will gain weight..UHG. I have PCOS as some of you may know and my girly parts are bi polar and coo coo for coco puffs! With out the pill I may not even have a period or Ill have 2 in the month, HORRIBLE migranes etc, Its bad! Kinda my number one reason to get this surgery to hopefully get my PCOS to go away or at least improve. Now what Im really getting at is how do you guys feel about the IUD? i HEARD ITS KILLER GETTING INSERTED if you havent had kids ( ouch thats me) so im not looking forward to that, but do you guys think I should get it? Should I continue to lose weight after surgery and then get it once I think my periods are getting normal? Does an IUD put out hormones, do you technically still have your period each month? do you gain weight with it like the EVIL DEPO shot ( worst decision of my life lol) and the pill? whats some pro's and con's that you ladies like about it? Thanks gals! and feel free to add anything about the two (iud vs pill) in regards to after vsg surgery that i havent mentioned. Would love all the feedback I can get before I really make a decision! <3

Hey everyone!!!! So Ive been debating on weather or not I should walk/jog the 5k color run this year! Its coming to Michigan, and although I wish I had more time to train the only one available is for july. Im aiming for surgery in june so I know I probably wont be up to running but regardless Ive always wanted to do this and why not start my weight loss journey off this way! For all of you who dont know what the color run is its the happiest 5k on the planet:) you wear all white, dress goofy and get doused in color powder as you run. By the time your done you look like a rainbow! Do you guys think I should do it? Especially if I just walk. My goal is to run it by next year! NEVER thought I would say I would want to run a marathon IN MY LIFE until now! What a healthy and fun way to do so though Heres a YOUTUBE link to the color run so you guys can see how awesome it is!

Yeah I would love to do a 5k..lansing is a bit far for me, but i was willing to travel for the color run... I would like to do the breast cancer walk whenever that is though

I have aetna, My bmi is 43-44....I was denied after 3 weeks of waiting because they looked back 4 years of records and seen that I was 35-38 bmi at one time and they think Im "skinny" right now basically. Its been a nightmare. Im appealing it in June. hope you have better luck, but every insurance company is different

I don't think I'd ever go to Mexico or my family would allow it... And yes i just about this peer thing I'm totally gonna talk to my surgeon an see what he says

Oh gosh Liz that sounds absolutely horrible you poor thing I'm going o the gyno and I'm going to talk to her about getting on a hormone free pills thy sounds like the best option
