  1. This surgery can test relationships for sure if seen some break up and divorce posts but it just sounds like he is afraid of losing you. He may deny it but make sure to reassure him you love him and won't go anywhere. I'm surprised my bf hasn't told me to shut up about the surgery..when I'm excited about something that's all I talk about lol. Good luck to you and hopefully things work out!
  2. You should try going back to a liquid diet or SOMETIMES eating some extra carbs/sweets does the trick. But I would suggest going back to liquids for a few days maybe even a week first
  3. I think a lot of people question their decision at one point. Good luck to you!
  4. I would be licking the hamburgers lol. I have my first appointment with the dietician and psyc on the 24th. Good luck to you and congratulations!
  5. I'm ready and I'm just starting my 6 month diet on Monday lol
  6. Thanks guys!
  7. I'm still pre op but I'm turning 21 in August...not really a problem since my surgery will be the end of this year but I was wondering are there better types of alcohol? I'm not really a drinker or a party girl but I do plan on having a few drinks on the coast in a casino with my family..I'm talking about alcohol post op as well..(not really a fan of whine or tequila) but what are some good low cal but good tasting drinks that I can also drink post op and won't kill me lol.
  8. I started a thread the other day asking this. My first appointment is this Monday the 24th and my coordinator said I'm looking at surgery in December but going by that logic my 6 months would be tight and then the approval would have to go quick..she did say my insurance is a easy approval as long as I'm drug and tobacco free and complete my 6 months..I'm hoping to get it done this year so bad but it will suck to be healing during Christmas and New Years..

  17. i saw my surgeon at the beginning of the process and she did blood tests which included H Pylori ..it came back negative I get my chance lessens further that I don't smoke, drink, take pain meds and my soda in take is very low and I have completely stopped last month. I'm more worried about a hiatal hernia.
  18. I would listen to your surgeon. I never even considered the band because I known a few people in the family one had a few slips and they both gained some of the weight back. Then I come on here and see so many revisions .
  19. aww I'm sorry..if my coordinator is right I'm going to have my surgery right before Christmas or right before New Years lol
