  1. Yes, I do know that. We are not here to make them money. We are here to tell our story so these new people can decide for them self which one would be best for them. Helping one another is the topic here.
  2. I don't know who is speaking negative about Dr. Lopez and A Lighter Me, but I feel that I chose the best company and doctor. I had no pain, no sickness and no complications at all. I had very good support. Yes, I was scared but doctor Lopez's anesthesiologist comforted me and assured me that I was in very good hands and I was. I went off pain meds the next morning. My choice, also the nurses were very attentive and most of all very caring. This is not a popularity contest. This is my story. I am very happy with my results, post op 9 wks now and 43 pounds gone. Thanks to "A Lighter Me" and a very good doctor Lopez.

Is it normal to feel weak and tired?

I am 6 weeks post-op and cannot get many calories in. I am super tired a lot and most of the time I have to sit down. I am down to 185 5'7. How many calories should I be getting in?
  4. May 8th here. Down about 24 pounds. Dr. Lopez at Mi Doctor. Never had no pain, nausea and so far no problems . Doing great.
  5. Doctor Lopez and his team is great. So far so good. My coordinator Janese has been right there a phone call away. No pain but a lot of being sick to my stomach.
  6. I just had surgery last the 8th. You must stay your diet. I stayed on mine down to the dotted line. My doctor could tell by my liver. The surgery went very well because of that. The girl across from me did not and she is having problems with throwing up continuous. She still hasn't been up walking yet.
  7. Going in today with dr.Lopez. TJ Mexico
  8. My doctor Lopez uses a size 32 Bougie. For those of you that has this 32 Bougie. What problems do you have. I have heard many comments on sizes of Bougie's.

  11. I am on the same pre-op as you. I am on my fourth day. Hating it but doing it.
  12. I just saw 14 day diet. I started one day late it looks like.
  13. So you have 16 days of diet? Mine is May the 8th. Started my pre op on the 25th.

What problems are you having with that size? I am due for surgery on May the 8th.

    Size 32 Bougie

Yes, I am on the 8th of May. What about you?
  16. Flying out May the 7th also. Surgery on the 8th. Everytime I get scared, I think about staying in this body and how bad I am going to continue feeling with being on 2x blood pressure medicine instead of one. As I get older, I see my body go south on me. I have a low BMI but every year I put on that much more weight. I find myself looking in the closet at the clothes that I should be wearing. No more excuses. I am bound to TJ when my turn comes up. Trust me that no one is as scared as I am. Lets do this together Cerenatee!

    Dr. Aceves, Mexicali, and Me!

The best one yet. Thank you for telling your story. This should help a lot of people who are searching feel better about having surgery in Mexico.
  18. So far I have found nothing but good experiences from this team of doctors Lopez and Oritz. I have been researching for about two months on most all the doctors. I had chosen one before and changed to Dr. Lopez. Believe me, I would not be going into surgery May the 8th with these same doctors as DawnDanice if I thought for one minute there were going to any problem with "A Lighter Me" and their team. I understand that one bad experience does not delete many many good experiences that I have read, about this whole team. I have found that most people will much quicker tell about their bad experience (rightfully so) much quicker than their good experience. That along tells me a lot. I believe these people that are posting their experience are being honest. I can see where there could be fake post also. I correspond to a lot of people on here and I know that they are not fake. You have to do your own research so that you will be comfortable with whom you chose for your surgery. Good Luck and a happy adventure to you and to me to come soon.
  19. I am so happy that you posted this. I have been wondering how everything worked as far as procedures. This has helped me put my Mi d at ease. I know that I will be so nervous. The thing that seems the worst is going to the operating rm. and getting on the table. I have had surgery before but I was asleep before I ever entered the room. So I do not remember anything prior to the last shot in my IV. Did they put support hose on you? My last and only surgery was for appendix. I was so sore when I got out. They went through my belly button. I can't stand the thought of my belly button being touched let along surgery. I know that the picture is the best thing for me. Thank you a lot for posting your experience. Now for the transformation process. YAY
  20. DawnDenise, don't forget to keep us posted with plenty of pictures of your up and coming skinny body. Hope your recovery is a fast one.
  21. Sad because we all have the same goal. We are here to help each other. We are here to ease the pain of worry. Support is something that I don't take for granted. I am very thankful for the people on this sight for their understanding and being there for me when I need them the most. I believe that when someone goes through WLS and they have a good experience. They are forever thankful and loyal to the ones who helped get them there. I love to see people praise their doctor, coordinator and company for doing a good job. If you are unhappy, I believe you should speak out. Everyone on here has that right. Should have that right without being judged. Good or bad we all need to know what each others experience was like for them. That's how we learn to make the decision of who we want to trust with our life. At first I was so confused about who to use for my doctor. I did research and still changed my mind. This forum really helped me get through a lot of fears that I had. People on here wants to support you. I am forever thankful.
  22. Thank you, I am looking forward to seeing your success. It is amazing the transformation and freedom this surgery makes. From this day on you will bloom. Healthy and gorgeous is all anyone can ask for. Not to mention all the compliments you'll get. I am from Nashville Tn. but now living in a small town in east TN called Spring City. I have been to Birmingham several times. Maybe we can all get together sometime. This is going to be so exciting. I am thankful to be able to have this surgery. Thanks to Mexico and the coordinators that work so hard to make our dreams come true.
  23. Sorry, you are going through a hard time Gettinsleeved. So happy to hear that you had a good experience. This company A Lighter Me must be doing a great job. From my understanding they have been in business for 10 years. I feel bad for this lady. There must have been an over sight there. Sometimes things happen. It sounds like she is now happy with her care and is ready to move on. I am sure that these people mean well. It's just a scary journey for us all to go through with a good ending. I hope your recovery is fast with no complications. Keep all of us posted and show lots of pictures throughout your journey. This helps us people who have not yet been sleeved have something to look forward too.
  24. Should run into you there at Mi Doctor
