  1. My experience after approval was great, very quick. It took forever to get approval though. The surgery went very smoothly. Dr. Patel made sure to answer any last minute questions I had as well as my husbands questions right before surgery.

    Cauliflower Tots

I found this online and thought I'd share WW Cauliflower Tots Servings: 4 Serving Size: about 8 tots Nutritional Information: 65.5 calories, 2.5g of fat, 4.1g of carbohydrates, 2.5g of Fiber, 7.5g of Protein Ingredients: 3 cups cauliflower rice 1 egg 1 egg white 1/2 cup low fat shredded cheese Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 425 2.Measure out 3 cups of cooked cauliflower rice. Then using a paper towel, press out all the moisture you can from the rice. The more moisture you squeeze out, the better they will turn out 3.Add the egg, egg white, cheese, salt, and pepper. Combine using your hands 4.Form into 3/4 inch cauliflower tots and place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Give the tots a spray of cooking spray on top 5.Cook for ten minutes and then flip over and cook for an additional 7-10 minutes until crispy. Tip: If they aren’t holding their shape well, consider popping them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. Also, these freeze well so consider a double batch. They will need an extra 10-15 of cooking time if they are frozen.
  3. My surgery was done by Dr Nilesh Patel in San Antonio. He's very thorough and made me feel very comfortable. I am only 7 days post op so my experience with the sleeve isn't extensive yet. I would definitely recommend him though

Day 4 Post op What can I drink?

On Wed before I left the hospital, the nurse listened to my stomach and said it was starting to rumble. I asked if that was ok and she said it was good

Day 4 Post op What can I drink?

My tummy is gurgling a lot too...glad I'm not at work cuz that would be really embarrassing. I scheduled myself off for 3 weeks just so I can make sure I'm really feeling ok before I go back.

Day 4 Post op What can I drink?

I had my surgery on Monday as well. I was told to start the protein shakes when I got discharged. Its very hard to get all the protein in though. I've been drinking about 1 shake per day; half in the morning and half in the evening, with broth inbetween. Yesterday I bought some nectar unflavored protein to add to my broths and jello, doesn't change the flavor at all. And popsicles have become my best friends lol

    Preop Countdown Begins

My pre-op started Thursday; surgery on the 4/15. Pre-op diet has been difficult for me. I used to drink a lot of soda so the caffeine headaches are a killer
  13. Have you gotten sleeved yet? I just got approved for surgery with Dr. Patel
