  1. Gotta start my liquid diet tomorrow. Surgery on Friday!!! Soo excited. I have been doing a modified liquid diet the past two days so it hasn't been that bad. I do better at work cause I drink more there and am busy all the time so I don't have time to think about eating.
  2. Lucky I'm supposed to start tomorrow but I'm going to start it today.
  3. Lucky I'm supposed to start tomorrow but I'm going to start it today.
  4. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that :-)
  5. I live in Yulee and my surgeon is Dr. Baptista.
  6. I'm going to be having surgery Friday at Memorial with Dr. Baptista.
  7. Hello Florida Sleevers!! I have my surgery scheduled for this coming Friday July 19th and am super excited :-)
  8. Best of luck! You know what's best for you! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
  9. Congrats you guys!! I'm getting sleeved on Friday so please post with any updates. I'd love to know what to expect. :-)
  10. I am a stomach sleeper. For those of you out there that are also how long after surgery till I can sleep on my stomach again??? I had a c section with my son and had to sleep on the couch for two weeks it was painful to get in my then pillowtop bed. I now have a tempurpedic. Just a random question.
  11. At first I only told family and close friends/coworkers. Now that I have a date set and there is no looking back I'm telling the world. I don't care about the negative responses that I might get. I know in the end my true friends will be there for me no matter what. So far I have gotten an overwhelming positive response and have found out who else has gotten something done. I live hearing their stories, their successes and failures. It helps me to see what could happen to me down the road. The day before or of surgery I plan on telling my friends on FB. I know there will be nay Sayers but who cares. Also I'm hoping that sharing my story might help someone who is having the same issues with weight that I'm having and maybe it will open their eyes to WLS. But that's just me :-)
  12. You look AWESOME!!!
  13. My PCP said the same thing to me. She said people usually gain weight back and eat "around" it. Why the heck would they say that. And in a side note she isn't exactly skinny. I would think they would be happy we are doing something to better out lives. My friends that are medical professionals are super supportive. Granted they are my friends but they would tell me what they think.
  14. Yeah another July 19ther :-) I have my pre op today. Then I have just a three day liquid diet before. But I might start early. Give me the best chance to be ready for surgery.
  15. I have my pre op appointment today. Super excited!! Can't wait to start my journey to a healthier me. :-)
  16. I'm not on my liquid diet yet. I go for my pre op tomorrow. My surgeon said of only have a three day liquid diet.
  17. I'm sorry that you have people in your life like that. For the most part everyone I've told have been supportive. One person doesn't seem to really "get it". She really into her weight loss drink stuff and would rather me try that first before having the surgery but like I tried to explain, I've tried all that's stuff and while it works for a whole it's not a life long commitment. She says her sister had WLS and is miserable everyday, throws up and stuff. I told her then she must not be doing it right. Yeah got a nasty look for that. But oh well. I've decided to tell everyone once I've had the surgery cause sooner or later they are going to see half of me disappear. If they don't like it oh well. Unless you have tried to walk a mile in my shoes you have no right to judge me on my choice. I have decided to improve my health and my life. I sure hope those people that don't support you have a change of heart. If not you know we all support you.
  18. I'm in Yulee. Who was your surgeon??? I have my pre op on Wednesday with surgery scheduled for the 19th of July.
  19. Awesome!!! I can't wait till my surgery (July 19th). Great job!!
