  1. It's weird how doctors differ. For example I was on "everything" food 15 days post op while other people were either still on clear liquids, all liquids or just starting puréed foods. I can have diet soda, drink from a straw and have bread. But the funny thing is that I don't eat that "bad" stuff all the time. I mostly stay with the low carb, water, protein first veggies second plan.
  2. I agree with everyone. It's WAY better.
  3. I'm at Disney World this weekend (1month post op on Monday) and I fell off the wagon hard. Drink LOTS of water. That was my main issue then I felt sick and had a headache all day. Eventually went to Epcot and had rainbow trout and green beans for dinner. Super yummy. Have a good time. My family and I LOVE Disney.
  4. Don't worry I am soo off track this weekend. Went to Disney and just fell off the wagon. Started to feel sick in the park (probably cause my first real walk in the heat, not that much water) so I bought a powerade and a bag of pretzels (way past my carb intake). Had no protein for lunch and had a diet coke (which took me forever to drink). Ended up having rainbow trout with green beans for dinner. Felt much better after that but the damage has been done. Going home tomorrow so back on the wagon I go.
  5. But I'm almost a month post op.
  6. Anyone else been overly itchy since surgery??? Or maybe it's just me.
  7. Ooooo...I'm telling. :-) don't feel bad. I had three slices of a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut last night. I'm the one who should be put in front if the firing squad. (And they were oh soo good)
  8. I work for an airline. I'm on my feet all day, high stress and sometimes don't get breaks. I went back after two weeks off and it was fine. Just was tired the first couple of days. After I went back I felt much better.
  9. I second the peanut butter. I was just craving a piece of pizza but had a spoonful of Jiff Whips. Craving GONE!
  10. I had three days clear liquid pre op (I elected to do 4), one week post op clear liquids, 2nd week puréed and soft protein, 3rd week everything (within reason).
  11. I was up to a week post op.
  12. Anyone out there do P90X or Insanity?? Was thinking about getting one of those. Any advice??
  13. One week post op I was eating sf pudding also. I still eat a cup it helps with my BM. Almost 1month post op.
  14. Some people just find it easier not to tell everybody. I on the other hand told EVERYONE I work with and shared it on Facebook. I gave gotten nothing but positive feedback. Of course it comes with a million questions and stuff but it was the best choice I have made. I now have people in my corner who will pick me up when I'm having a bad day and since my surgery people I work with have started to eat healthier. They say they are doing it so I can keep eating healthy but I know it's cause they see me improving my life so why not them. I'm glad ice told everyone. It's very freeing and it doesn't feel like you have to hide behind your weight anymore.
  15. Puréed chicken 2 days post op?? I was on a liquid diet for a week post op. Hope it all works out. Just get your water in. Most important.
  16. That's weird cause I had my first BM on surgery night. Granted it was all liquid but I did a couple of times. Now I'm starting to struggle with #2. Sometimes 2 days (I was used to going 2-3 times a day).
  17. I was bad last night after I left work late, was hungry and went to McDonalds. I got the chicken nuggets, ate them on my way home (15 min drive). Pulled in the driveway and had to run to the bathroom. Never having chicken nuggets from McDonald's again.
  18. Why are your boobs and butts the first things to go??? It's bad when your friend tells you "I can see your loosing weight, your boobs and butt are disappearing." Soo annoying but glad to hear people are noticing :-)
  19. I am walking but I know that I have to increase that and start with other stuff. Jut have had lots going on with my parents and work that its been hard to get anything other then walking in. Hopefully soon ill have some more time to do stuff. And now that my son started school I have time in the morning.
  20. She's lost 47 but I don't m ow if that's with pre op diet or not. I've been a Ssssllllloooooowwww loser. I've been sleeved since 7/19 and my scale can't decide if I've lost 10 or 15 (since surgery). It keeps going up and down. I don't understand why. I just need to keep going and hopefully my body will start loosing.
  21. Went out for my husbands birthday yesterday. Had a little bit of everything but didn't go over board. A friend of outs was there who had the Lapband done in October and she was eating like how I used to eat before surgery. She asked how I was doing and I told her the truth that its been interesting getting to learn how to eat. I had three small sliders (minus the bread), three nachos and three bites of a chicken tender. I guess I'm just confused how she can eat a WHOLE meal (steak, mashed potatoes and veggies) and I can barely eat a burger patty. Oh well. I know I should just worry about myself but its hard.
