  1. I was sleeved on June 3rd, and honestly, I feel great - I feel completely recovered. The first 2 days were rough, but it was smooth sailing after that. I feel very blessed. Oh, and I'm 9 days post-op and down 14 pounds

    Wow, that's amazing! I'm 8 days post-op and I'm "only" down 13 pounds!
  3. Contracts on your success so far!! We're glad you're here
  4. I'm from Portland, Oregon and I was sleeved 8 days ago on June 3rd.
  5. I am on full liquids, and yes, I can eat strained soups... but you might want to call your NUT just to make sure that it's okay on your plan.
  6. My protocol is: Clear fluids: the day of surgery Full liquids: 2 weeks Pureed: 2 weeks Soft: 2 weeks
  7. Glad you found something that works for you!
  8. I pray that everything's okay. Update us when you can!
  9. I was thinking that it was gas until I read about it being a symptom of a leak... Thanks for the replies! I pray that gas pains is all it is!
  10. I am 6 days post-op and I feel fantastic! I honestly do not feel like I've just had surgery. I have not thrown up once and I haven't needed any pain meds for 3 days. With that said, I am having dull pain in my left shoulder. I've had this for a few days now. It's not terribly painful or anything - it's just THERE every so often. I just spent some time reading the complication forum here, and some people said that the first sign that they had a leak was shoulder pain. And so I'm freaking out a little...
  11. I'm very sorry that you're dealing with this...I wish you the best.
  12. I was also sleeved 6/3 and I am SO tired of liquids. This too shall pass...right? :/
  13. I was sleeved June 3rd and came home Tuesday the 4th. By Thursday I felt great, and have ever since. I've been grocery shopping, been to the bank, picked up the kids from school, had play dates at the park...my recovery has really been remarkably fast. Only 1 more week of liquids and I can move on to pureed foods - I am SO excited for that!
  14. I was sleeved on June 3rd, and I'm feeling great! I have lots of energy, and I'm able to drink a little more fluids each day. I didn't have to do a pre-op diet, and I'm down a total of 10 pounds so far.
  15. I'm just wondering how much weight people have lost the first week post-op? I'm 5 days post-op and I'm down 9 pounds.
  16. Oops -- I meant to post this in the post-op forum.
  17. I had my sleeve done Monday morning, and came home on Tuesday. I was feeling pretty miserable both days. Yesterday was better, but I was still having some spasm pains in my stomach whenever I'd try to sip fluids. I think I got down 15 oz yesterday total. But today? AH-MAZING. Seriously. I feel GREAT! I went and spent the morning at my kid's school for last day celebration, and then we went to the park to play (well, they played and I sat on the bench). My Fluid is going down SO much easier - it's only 1pm and I've already had about 20 oz of Water and 5 oz of Protein shake. At this rate, I'll be running a half marathon by next week. Just kidding - but really I am super optimistic about my future at the moment.
  18. I was sleeved a little over 48 hours ago. I came home yesterday around noon. Since being home my Water and Protein intake has not been good. Since being home I have had 3 oz of Protein shake total, and maybe 8 oz of water. Even just a little sip causes great pain my stomach -- it's almost as if my stomach seizes up on me? I'm not sure how to explain it. This pain also occurs at other times - not just after taking a sip. I'll be sitting on the couch and I can feel the pain building in my stomach, and then it "seizes" up on me, then immediately goes away. Can anyone help me figure out what this pain is, and tell me whether or not it's normal?
  19. I understand...I also am in a lot of pain. My doc wants me to drink liquid Tylenol and Ibuprofen but I can barely get down an oz of water - an oz of sticky, thick and super sweet medicine is out of the question.
  20. Food was the furthest thing from my mind when I woke up...and it still is, 48 hours later...
  21. I was sleeved yesterday and I also feel like I got hit by a truck. Yesterday the gas pain was terrible, and today it's a little better so I'm hoping for a little improvement every day.
  22. I'm getting sleeved tomorrow, too! I check in at 5:45am
  23. Tomorrow for me, too!!
  24. 15 days without pooping?! Is that common post-op?? ( and congratulations on your poodle, OP - I imagine you feel way better! LOL)
