You may have to set some ground rules because that is not cool. I don't know where you are in your journey, but preop and postop, you will have special nutrition needs that must be exclusive to you. You do not want someone to ruin your efforts. Just my 2 cents.

Day 3 was the hardest! I've used Premier Protein all along. They are tasty but get old after a few weeks. I have learned to appreciate why my dog always looks depressed when I feed her the same thing day in and day out!

So did he have gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy? The story states both procedures. Just curious to know which one. I've heard of the sleeve being introduced at the pediatric level, albeit not quite this young, but this could be a normal procedure to help curb obesity specifically in the US.

1. Riding on rides at amusement parks with my kids.
2. Being able to tie my shoes without gasping for air.
3. To run in a 5k.
4. To get in a booth at a restaurant without feeling like a sardine in a can.
5. To fly without having to ask for an extender.
6. To have a high self confidence when in a meeting.

I got tired of the Protein Shakes before the food. I looked forward to dinner because I got to chew something! I mixed up the veggie and meat combo to keep it interesting. I stuck to the diet without cheating and lost 28 lbs in 2.5 weeks!

Hello August Sleevers' date=' I had my surgery 8/20/2013. I was curious If anyone else has experienced really bad stomach spasms? It seems like they start when I drink sometimes. Also I'm not able to tolerate the Protein Shakes like I could preop, anyone else having this problem and If so what have you done that's helped?[/quote']I was prescribed Levsin for spasms/cramping. Works wonders!

Unfortunately, I have had a date change because the surgeon decided to take vacation on my scheduled date...that has been on the calendar for 3 months. Frustrated, but trying to maintain a positive attitude.
Now scheduled for 8/22.

I have Aetna and their was the 2 year requirement that my doctor's office "preached" about at the seminar. There was mention that it could be from anywhere like urgent care or such. Maybe you will will figure out a way around it, but I do remember that as a key data point.

I would say you were right to use the equipment. Love the reference to pissing all over the equipment marking his territory!

I stuck with my surgeon's plan to a T. Too much at risk and took a lot of work to get this far. It is only a short amount of time. Do not give in! You are strong!
