  1. This sounds exactly like what I'm having but they called it an endoscope. They run it thru the nose and throat down to the stomach. Good Luck on your procedure.
  2. Iv had plenty of surgeries, so that's not worrying me. It's the stupid scope. Lol.... You will do fine. They will give you something before you go to the operating room to calm your nerves. "Going to Disneyland" is the best part of surgeries Good Luck!!!
  3. Thank you very much!!! I guess I'm just nervous because I will be aware the entire time it is happening. I start my diet Thursday, which is 1 week out. You better believe I'm having some majorly good food Wednesday. Lol
  4. This sounds absolutely delicious!!! Keeping this as a reference for post op
  5. Tomorrow is the start of my pre op testing. I am 10 days out from surgery tomorrow. I am doing my scope tomorrow along with a stress test. The stress test is no biggy. It is the scope that has started worrying me. My doctor keeps his patients awake for it and only numbs the nose and throat. The more I think about it, the more I'm freaking out. Everyone has said they wouldn't do it if they had to be awake. Now I feel like he is doing something wrong... Ahhhh HELP
  6. Ok now y'all are scaring me boo
  7. Roflmao!!!!! I will be having it done Monday, so I will let you know how it goes. I'm super nervous about it, but the nurse said everyone handles it really well. I'm assuming I will be really numb. My paperwork says the camera is so small that I will still be able to swallow during the procedure. So.... Yeah. Eeek.
  8. My doctor said 1 week off work but it will be different for each person and each doctor
  9. Mine is a week prior to surgery and 2 weeks post surgery.
  10. Well congrats to you!! Monday will be here before you know it and you will be on your way to a better life How did all your pre op testing go?
  11. I'm healthy as horse other than the extra blubber and I am still required to do a scope. AND my doc keeps his patients awake. Eek. Just some stuff to numb the nose and throat. Nervous does not describe this feeling
  12. Mine is part of pre-op testing. Along with a stress test.
  13. Having my sleeve done on the 28th and being scoped on the 18th. I think I'm more nervous about the scope than the surgery itself. Anyone else in the same boat?
