  1. Nioxin is a wonderful product!! It's a 3 step process and it really helps regrow hair and slow down hair loss. My husband uses it. He had a spot on his head where he had gotten bit by something and the hair stopped growing. Within 2 weeks of starting Nioxin the hair had completely grown back!! 2. Wasn't sure where to post this, so I figured here was ok... I had a total melt down today at dinner with my family. I cried myself to sleep 2 nights ago. WHAT IS GOING ON?? I feel overwhelmed and exhausted and broken. I'm beyond estatic that I was blessed with the sleeve, but I am feeling so lost. I miss being able to eat with them. It angers me that we go to dinner, I get food that I think I can eat, my sleeve won't tolerate it and I just wasted 8-10 dollars. I told my husband that from now on I will not be eat at restaurants. I will go and enjoy their company, but I will eat at home where I know I'm getting something I can tolerate. The crazy part is I have done GREAT until now. Why suddenly am I on this emotional roller coaster.... Ok, I vented and that's what I needed to do. Time for the big girl panties (that are shrinking in size ) Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
  3. Wow that's insane!!! Mine took 1.5 hours start to finish. That's from the moment they wheeled me back to the time the doc went out and talked to my hubby. And I had a hernia repaired which added about 20 extra mins. Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
  4. Shooting pain sounds like scar tissue. As it stretches you will notice is feels like its being pulled apart... And your lack of weight loss is prob due to not being able to get your protein in. I am having the same prob an my doc and nut both told me I needed to up my calories and protein to see a more rapid weight loss... Good Luck. 5. I did tomato soup on day 4 and had absolutely no probs and it was sooo yummy!!... But yes, beef broth or chicken broth is always good. Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)

  7. Congrats to all of you!! Amazing losses... Wish I could say the same for myself iv lost 10lbs since surgery on 3/28. Total loss of 18lbs. Sigh. Doc says I'm not losing more because I can't get my calories in. So iv been forcing myself to eat round the clock and more than I really want to eat. Seems odd makig myself eat to lose weight :-/ Here's to hoping for a bump in loss. Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
  8. Have not tried string cheese because I was just upgraded today to puréed foods. I don't think I can do string cheese yet, but the NUT said laughing cow cheese. Basically anything I can push down on and squeeze thru a fork is acceptable. Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
  9. I usually eat Greek yogurt as my mid morning snack but I can only eat 1/4-1/2 at most and I'm forcing it with 1/2. And even at that in the entire cup of yogurt there is only 80cals. I'm going to buy some unflavored Protein powder tomorrow and I'm just going to have to add it to everything that goes in my mouth I guess Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
  10. Me too, me too, me too!!!!!! I'm only 2 weeks out, but there are days when I realize it's 1 o'clock and I have not eaten. Then I start thinking about it and immediately get sick. It's so frustrating. Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
  11. Ok... Had my first preop Dr. Apt yesterday and while I was happy that iv lost weight (10lbs in 2 weeks since surg) I'm not ecstatic about it. I expected more since I was on liquids for 2 solid weeks. My NUT and Dr said I probably would have lost more, but I'm not getting nearly enough calories in. So basically my body has shut down and is refusing to lose at a more rapid pace because I'm only able to get in 300-500 cal a day. AND to top it off, my doc said no gym until I get my caloric intake up. WTH So I guess my real question is, can anyone suggest high calorie meals that's aren't huge? NUT said it looks like I have a very tight sleeve, so it will be harder for me. Right now I can only consume about 1/2 an egg or 4 bites of cream of wheat or 1/4 a yogurt cup. Obviously not much at all. I'm just scared that if I don't start being able to consume more that my weight loss will not progress. I'm ready to get in the gym. I was sleeve as a tool, not to have it as a crutch. Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)

  14. If its the one at the hospital... At mine they checked my weight, drew blood, asked a lot of questions, did and EKG and a chest X-ray. I was there about an hour. Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)

  16. I have looked everywhere for it... Has anyone found this anywhere?? My NUT told me she gets hers at HEB but I can't find it here. Went to GNC today and the evil little old woman that works there "happily" told me they stopped carrying it a year ago.... Iv looked at Krogers and Walmart as well. I JUST WANT Protein Jello. 18. Ha ha ha. I have one of those!! He's 6 and already eats us out of house and home. Looks like he may be getting a few extra healthy snacks thrown his way. Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
  19. Obviously we can not eat as much as presleeve. That's the point. But how do I avoid wasting food?? I'm on full liquids now, made cream of wheat for breakfast took 5 bites was full and the rest went in the trash. I feel like I could eat on 1 package for a week. I'm eating my mid-day snack right now (Greek light and fit yogurt) and I'm barely 1/4 thru and can feel the full sensation happening. I don't want to just throw it away. I feel like I'm wasting money. How can I save these things?? Or with the cream of wheat, how do I determine how much to make so that I'm not making the entire package??? Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
  20. Thank you to everyone who responded. It was very kind not to judge my lack of attention at the docs office and just inform me of what full liquids are. I'm a happier woman knowing I get to wake up to something other than broth and Jello Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 Weight on surgery date: 281 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013 (231)
