Wow...you're doing great for having surgery so recently! Men always lose faster tho. Fact of life. I had the same problem as you but adding fiber helped. Good luck & congratulations on such a rapid loss!

  5. R.A. really sucks. Sorry to hear that. Yes, we must practice patience. Patience grasshopper, patience!
  6. Wow! You are one sexy mama! You look fabulous!! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm a slow loser & even my doc said I seem to need some sort of kick start to my metabolism but due to a knee that needs to be replaced, I'm not doing that great in exercising. I walk just over 1/4 mile per day, which isn't much but it's a HUGE change for me since I couldn't walk more than 3 houses before I lost a little weight. I'm just plowing forward tho in the meantime. Congratulations on your achievement!

    Bad Experience...

Just to follow up....I had my surgery at Troy Beaumont with Dr. Krause, & I have nothing but glowing remarks about the hospital, as well as the doctor! I'm glad I changed facility & doctor.

    Just wanted to share =)

You look fantastic! Congrats on your hard work!
  12. Well unfortunately for me, instead of being happy, I've been sad. I have nothing that fits me right. My regular clothes are all too big so I went in my wardrobe closests in the basement & found I only saved my fancier stuff when I grew out of them years ago. I have such gorgeous sequined party dresses, which even if I do get into them again, we don't go anywhere. Can't afford to. That is also the reason I'm still wearing my pants which I have to keep pulling up (along with my underwear, since that's also slipping) because I only had 2 pairs of jeans I had saved when they didn't fit me anymore but now they're too big also. So I walk around constantly pulling up my pants & it's so uncomfortable. I'm afraid to go to the thrift store to buy clothes now because I've been reading that lots have a bed bug infestation. Just what I'd need....bring home clothes with bed bugs! Anyway, it's not a happy time for me either. I'm glad I'm losing weight, even if it is slowly but now it's a clothes issue.

    I'm Afraid of Bread...

I'm 2.5 months out & I have no problems eating anything. I wish I couldn't get pasta or bread down! Therefore, it's back to abstaining from both & I adore both. I'm Italian so pasta is "my" thing. Selfish me can't even make it for my family anymore since I want it too. Don't be upset that you can't eat "evil" food ~ haha! That's what I call it now!
  19. OMGosh, I just noticed you're having Dr. Krause do your surgery! You're going to just ***love*** him! He's so kind, sweet & gentle! Which "B" hospital are you having the surgery at? R.O.B. or T.B.? I had mine at T.B. & it was a nice experience (except for the crazy woman I had next to me who screamed all night & didn't let me rest! Thankfully they moved me to another room with the sweetest 97 y/o woman!)
  20. I don't have any suggestions, just want to wish you both good luck. I chose not to tell anyone except my BFF who lives in another state, as well as an aunt & another cousin (who don't know each other & both of them also live out of state.) The only regret I have is telling that one cousin because every time we talk or she emails, the first question is "how much have you lost?" I still hate that question, like the integrity of the person I am is measured by my weight or how much I've lost. I'm going to say something to her soon about this because I resent her asking all the time. Anyway, in your case, it does sound like not telling or waiting till you're headed to the hospital is the best way to go. I just told people I was having hernia surgery. I'm losing slowly so no one is the wiser. I'm still thrilled! Good luck to you & with your decison!
