Try walking more... It helps a ton with the gas pains i learned in the hospital

HI Mag -- I didnt get light headed preop Just post op when I don't get enough water. Are you drinking a lot?

I take ambien every day also. I save a Jello for around bedtime and drink a lot of Water. Surprisingly I dont need to get up in the middle of the night from the water consumption.

I was sleeved at South Nassau - Long Island by Dr Nishimaru on Monday the 11th.... I had moderate pain after surgery but still got my butt up every hour or so and did my laps around the floor. My incisions are giving me pain still 6 days later but soreness is getting easier to handle. Staples come out Thursday and I am still on a liquid diet of water, optifast (or equivalent shake) broth jello etc. I get pain after a few sips of anything so I am not reaching my 60 oz of water a day yet. I am the burping and farting a lot and have even gone #2 a few times. Annoyed that I cant wear a bra because one of my incisions is right on the bra line and I am VERY busty so I dot feel like leaving my house without one on.

I'm 6 days out and with water (and optifast) and I am having the same issue. Today it was a little better so I am hoping tomorrow will be better and so on,

I had surgery Monday and didn't start passing gas until I was home on Thursday.... Now no issues..

I LOVE my machine.... I fall asleep so much faster and sleep steadily for a normal amount of hours. I wake up invigorated and ready for my day . Before the machine i was having crazy sleep issues and was drowsy all day

I woke up with the patch after surgery . Since i had no issues they just gave me some pills in case i need them

Glad you figured it out... I only did 5 shakes

I am staying with my entire family while i go on this journey and mom cooks A LOT, While on the preop diet it was killing me but now im 4 days post op and seeing food has no effect on me at all. Pre-op when it really got to me id eat a sugar free popsicle REALLY slow

I waled 3-4 laps every 2 hours and they were happy with that . I had a private room so sometimes i would just get up and walk around it for a few minutes if i wasnt feeling the lap thing.

The Optifast has me running to the bathroom a few times a day even 4 days post-op i am still going with diarrhea

I was sleeved yesterday 3/11/13 Still in the hospital and was just cleared for Water intake They really want me be to pass gas but I can't yet just burping. Anyone else have this issue? Pain is pretty bad and I've been walking a lot more then was expected of me

Hey guys -- My surgery is tomorrow and i wanted to know what i should bring to the hospital. They never went over this with me lol. I'm going to have both the drainage tube and the pain pump so I'm figuring i will just be in a hospital gown. Or should i bring some sleep dresses (or MooMoos as my husband lovingly calls them) The internet it available so my iPad will be packed...... Suggestions? Thanks

Honestly I would report her. She has no right to say things like that to patients

Thanks for the advice --- I am packing my bag now and will include some of these items defiantly the chap stick and bathrobe I live literally 30 seconds from the hospital so i may have my parents bring over some pillows if i need them. Candi

My Dr said Popsicles (Sugar Free) count as clear liquid. I found that biting them and kinda chewing them helped my chewing craving. Same thing with sugar free jello

Do you take any medications that could be hindering your weight loss... I am on Opti and Abilify it took me 5 days to lose 3 pounds which i felt was implied not to be normal by the doctor. You should call you doctors office and speak to the nutritionist - maybe they can switch you to something other than Opti

I also take Celexa. I was told that if everything goes well i can resume it the day after surgery. My psychiatric doctors said a day or 2 off wont really effect it too much. I was not informed to stop it the day before surgery... hmm now i need to go check that since today is my day before

I am doing OptiFast but its super expensive. I attend a group every month and they all suggest Lean Body from anyplace like GNC or even Amazon. Whats great is you can get a powder if you need to travel post - op
