  1. So I'm 2months post op and have lost 55lbs so far. I workout 5 days a week cardio & weights. I feel very good but I've noticed my skin for ex my arms is a lot looser (soft) & SUUUPER jiggly!! It wasn't like that before! Everything else seems to be shrinking just fine. My arms have always been big but they NEVER jiggled like they do now! I have been working out for almost 2 years and before my surgery they were somewhat toned. Is anyone else having this problem?? Do you guys have any suggestions?? Please HELP!!

  2. It's been a month I feel great! I'm down 35lbs. I returned to work 2 weeks ago. I've been working out (not to hard) since I was 2 weeks post op. Now i'm working out REALLY hard! I have absolutely no regrets. The 1st week was a bit difficult I wanted 2 eat everything in sight because I new I couldn't have it, but I got over it quick. Good Luck to you who are waiting or have already went through it. =)

  3. How far out are you surgery wise? In my first 2 months I vomited every single time I tried to drink plain water' date=' and like you I've always loved it. Now that I'm a little farther out it's not as much of a problem. It takes a little while, but eventually your Water nausea will go away.[/quote']

Its week 3 for me. & yes I have done the Crystal lite and I don't hve a problem with that it's just sometimes I just want plain Water. I really hope it gets better.

  4. Good luck dear! Usually insurance will get back within 5 days' date=' don't worry. and then your pre surgery class, preop visit with d nguyen and preop testing at valley care and off you go..iam saying all this because I just went through these steps few days ago,.and thenjust a day before my sleeve they called and said I was pregnant and canceled my surgery :)

Well goodluck to you and keep us posted.

WOW!! Congrats!! Everything is good over here so far. =)

  5. Just a warning-do NOT crush hydro condone pills! That is extremely dangerous! Either swallow them whole or ask for a different medication. (I don't remember the exact reason why it is dangerous I just remember when my father was dying of lung cancer he was prescribed the same medication and he had to crush them to get them down and when he told his doctor he freaked out!)

Really?? Wow! I told my Dr. I was going to crush them & take them that way he didn't anything about it. I only did it a few times but I will def. bring that up @ my nxt appt.

  6. Hi,

I'm 6 days post-op. I agree with you that stuff is soooo disgusting. They gave it to me in the hospital after they took me off the morphine and I did the same thing! I called my Dr. The next day & asked to prescribe me in pill form I crushed them and took it that way. It was still gross but better than the liquid. I also did crushed tylenol until they sent my Rx. Hopefully you'll feel better by the 4th day. I did. By the 5th I was up cleaning sweeping, & mopping i surprised myself! Well hope you feel better soon! =)

  7. Good Morning everyone.. For those of you who are scared... Nervous freakn out.. I must say its not bad AT ALL.. I woke up with some pain of course but the nurse finally came & gave me my handy dandy button.. & I'm still feeling some pain but its doable.. I feel like I slept SOOOOO good!! LOL!! I've already gotten up for a walk & went pee.. I'll keep you posted @ how my days going. You all have nothing to worry about.. =)

  8. My surgery is tomorrow as well. I have to be there at 6:30am then my surgery is at 8. I'm nervous and excited. I have been where everyone else is at where am I doing the right thing should I be doing this...etc. but I figure I have put in all this time and energy and I'm very excited to see the results. Now when I go in for surgery or they take me back my calm nerves may shatter and I may be a bawling mess of emotions but we will have to see. I just figure I won't sleep tonight because reality will hit

Good Luck tomorrow & please keep us posted. =)

  9. In right there with you. I'm scheduled to arrive at 5:30 and surgery at 7:30. I've had many thoughts of maybe I shouldn't do this or what do you think your doing?? I too have not been thin/ healthy for a long time. When I see the before and after pics that's what motivates me. I'm other wise healthy besides from being fat. Just the last couple of years when my weight has crept up to its highest my Bp been going higher sugar levels going up getting more outta breath when walking..etc..

I'm so ready! Yes it's ok to be scared and I'm sure well have over regrets after its done. But we're gonna look awesome and feel great! Good luck to you tomorrow. Maybe we can catchup when were in the hospital. :-)

  10. Ok so everything just became real for me 2 days ago. I started to have second thoughts then got over it.. I don't have any major health problems but I'm afraid of developing them so this is the reason why I chose to have this surgery. Now I started thinking about the losing part which believe me I'm SOOOOO excited about, but at the same time scared. I've never EVER been thin in my entire life so I have absolutely no idea of what that is like. I know to some I might sound dumb but is anyone having the same feelings??

  11. Hello everyone,

I'm sitting here thinking about how excited I was to be doing this at first I coukdn't wait! i wanted it it to be sooner. I actually finished everything within a month. My husband is behind me 100% & I'm very grateful for that. But now I'm starting to have second thoughts. I'm thinking about the loose skin.. Will my marriage last? Will my husband still be attracted to me if I have the loose skin?.. Will I EVER be happy with myself? I told my husband I'm not doing this for anyone, I'm doing this for myself.. But again will I B happy with my decision???

  12. Welcome! So excited for you. In my opinion the first week post-op is NOT pleasant. BUT sooooo worth it in the end. I would do it again for sure. I went back to work as a nurse at a clinic a week later and did fine' date=' naps are good early out. Good luck![/quote']

    Thnx!
