They were really good during the pre-op diet. I am pleased to say that I still find them really good after the surgery. Some people take the vanilla ones and add flavorings to it, but I haven't tried that yet. I complained to the Premier Protein folks once after getting an unexpired case of 4 that were clumpy. They told me that it was to be expected due to the high protein content, and to just shake them up really good, but they were still good to drink since they were unexpired. They sent me a replacement case. When I got it, I was amazed that they sent me a case of 18 instead of a case of 4. Very nice people!

I had mine repaired during sleeve surgery. I have had absolutely no heartburn since, even though I forgot to start the anti-acid medicine immediately. Sometimes I feel that my surgeon may have tightened my hernia a bit too much since if I drink over 2 ounces at a time, I can feel it gurgle when it goes through to my stomach. Interesting feeling, but it is so nice not to have the heartburn!

Probably around a 1. Those pain and nausea meds they gave me were wonderful!

I had a few twinges when I got up to walk, but that is about it. I was never over a 3 the entire hospital stay.
