  1. Since my surgery I've avoided my scale like the plague! I read so many stories on here about being discouraged because there's no/not much loss in the beginning. Well this morning, I put my big girl panties on (pun intended) and stepped up there like a champ! Low and behold, I'm down 8 1/2lbs since 3/19! Whoo hoo! *doing the cabbage patch* Hope everyone is doing well!!
  2. So sorry to hear you're throwing up. How are you feeling today? Have you called your dr? Maybe it's too soon for puréed foods. Hang in there!! Things will get better.
  3. I hope your stomach is feeling better. That's scary!! Glad you got the drains out! Best of luck!!
  4. OMG! The thought of chicken and marinara is heavenly!! Add some parmigiana and you have my favorite food!! Only a few more days!! I can do this!! Thanks for your advice!!
  5. So sorry to disappoint!! Lol!! Too funny!!
  6. Thank you!! Best of luck to you also!!
  7. I have to take your word for it!! Thanks!!
  8. Thank you!! I've used Vitamin E for small scars so I'll give it a try.
  9. I am SO hungry! I've seriously resorted to looking at pictures of food to satisfy my craving!!! This is what a drug addict must feel like when going through withdrawal!! 3 more days of full liquid and then on to puréed foods! I can't WAIT to eat some mashed 'taters!! Lol!!! I cooked dinner for the fam for the first time since surgery; turkey breast, Spanish rice and salad. I was drooling worse than our dog when we crack open the treats! Smh!! Just had to vent!! Carry on!
  10. Question...what are you using for scars? The large incision looks yucky. I'm only 7 days out so I know I have a long way to go but wondering. Thanks!
  11. From everything I've heard/seen/researched, your body will stall at times and then weight will come off. I understand your worry. I feel like what if this fails and I STILL don't lose weight. I love this forum because hearing it from a doctor is one thing but hearing it from people who have actually gone through it is something totally different. To the poster with the nasty tone...People come here for SUPPORT! If you don't have anything supportive to say, please refrain. #MyTwoCents
  12. So glad to hear you're doing well! I feel VERY blessed. I've read some scary horror stories and I'm so thankful I haven't had any of those problems. Wishing you the best and thanks for the pep talk!
  13. Hi there! I still feel pain at that incision too. It's almost gone at this point. How are you doing getting in your Proteins? I've tried but unable to get 60-70 grams in so far. So glad you're doing well and happy with your surgery!! Me too!!
  14. Hi everyone!! I was just sleeved on 3/19 and although I'm SO happy I did it, I am CRAVING catfish nuggets!! LAWD! I am starving! I'm glad I stumbled upon this forum!! It's been very informative!!
  15. You guys all ROCK!! So glad to hear how everyone is doing at different stages!! The pain is almost gone so that's a plus. Feeling incredibly hungry but that will also pass (I hope!) Wishing you continued health!
