  1. Wishing you the best!! We'll all be just fine!!
  2. Ok so today is my last day at work until after surgery. Went to Boot Camp yesterday. That was very informative. I'm down 8 1/2 lbs from pre op diet which I started on Tuesday, 3/5/13. My dr seemed pleased. It probably would've been more if I hadn't had that delicious bite of my husbands turkey burger on wheat bun! #DontJudgeMe!! :/ I'm anxious to get this part over with. Wishing all sleevers the best!! This journey has no doubt been difficult but I know it will be SO worth it when I can shop in a REGULAR sized clothing store! Ha! It's the little things!! Have a great weekend all!
  3. Thank you!! I'm beyond scared! I'm SCURRED! You are not alone!! You'll be fine!! What is your date? Best of luck!
  4. Have you done your gastro, cardio and pulmonary tests already? The only thing I had to do today was give blood, sign paperwork and meet an anesthesiologist. When is your date? Best of luck!
  5. Just realized I put the wrong date!! My sleeve is March 19...not the 29th!!
  6. Skinny wishes!!! YES! I love that!! Thank you so much!
  7. It's really happening! Today is pre admission, tomorrow boot camp and final meeting with my surgeon. The next time I see him, will be at surgery. Wishing ALL sleevers the best of luck!!
  8. I feel your pain! Day 4 I was ready to eat a double cheeseburger with extra everything but I just went to bed early to curb the hunger!! I just keep telling myself it will be SO worth it in the end!! Best of luck on March 25!! I'm so ready for this but scared too!!
  9. Ok so I'm on day 6 of my pre-op diet and you guys/gals were right!! It's getting easier! I'm not lightheaded and having headaches anymore. I think my food addiction is like any other addiction because I SWEAR I was having food withdrawals!! I am still very anxious/nervous; surgery is 1 week from tomorrow but SO looking forward to this journey. I'm 38 and have been fighting this weight struggle since I was 18 and 190lbs!! Good luck to those scheduled for their surgeries!! We can do this!!
  10. That's what I've been doing. I finally found a Protein Shake I like (chocolate of course)!! Good luck in your surgery!! March 19th!! Here we come!
  11. I can't wait to get this band out!! Best of luck on your upcoming surgery!!
  12. My date is the 19th too!! Didn't know I could have a slim fast. I'll give that a try too. Thanks again for the advice.
  13. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!! My big day is 3/19. I'm anxious and nervous!! I'm going to try the string cheese. Hope that works!! Thanks!!
  14. Thanks for the encouragement!! I'm going to hang in there but it's tough!! One day at a time.
  15. I'll try the broth tonight. Congratulations on 47lbs down! Can't wait to hit that mark or any mark for that matter!!
  16. I'm 4 days into my pre op diet (600-800 calories per day) and I've had a headache for 3 days and have been feeling lightheaded for 2 days. Is this normal? I'm making sure to drink plenty of water so I don't get dehydrated but I feel like I'm about to pass out sometimes. Maybe I'm just hungry and want a nice juicy burger! Just kidding...or am I?!! Thank you for your help!!
  17. Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm scheduled for March 19th and am freaking out but stories like yours give me hope!!
  18. I can't thank you all enough for your responses!! @asherje...I've had my band for 3 years and I can't wait to get it out. Great to know you are happy with the revision! Good luck on your journey!! @Sugamoma...I wish you the best on your surgery too. I will definitely be looking for you afterwards to see how you're doing. @Remedina...Congratulations on your surgery!! Glad to hear you had minimal issues. I pray I'm as lucky as you!! I am SO glad I stumbled upon this website. It is really easing my fears. Thank you all again.
  19. Posted this in the pre op forum but wanted to post it here also. I am scheduled to go from a lap band to a gastric sleeve and I am so nervous. I have made the mistake of reading EVERYTHING online about the gastric sleeve and it has frightened me to the point of backing out. I am on the verge of calling my doctor and telling him I've changed my mind. Is anyone in the same boat as me? Those of you who have had the surgery, were you satisfied? Is it worth it? Will the weight loss be better than the lap band (I lost only about 20lbs TOTAL)? I appreciate any comments and advice/suggestions. I posted this in the pre op forum but wanted to post it here as well.
