  1. I love the medically supervised/ diet & exercise explanation!! Think I'll go with that!! *clapping like we're on Family Feud* Good answers!! Good answers!! Thank you all!
  2. So I was sleeved on 3/19. From the time I started my pre op diet to now I'm down 26lbs and it is noticeable. My family and very close friends know I had the surgery but my co-workers don't know. They are SO nosey and it's uncomfortable. I'm not ashamed of my surgery but I am a private person; especially in the workplace. How have you handled these nosey folks? I want to tell them to mind their *#%**!!!! business but I need my job!! Lol!
  3. 7 weeks??!!! Oh noooo! That would be awful! I'm going into my 2nd week of being stalled. I have a dr appt on Friday. Anxious to see what he says. Continued success on your journey!!
  4. Again...sorry that is YOUR experience. Hope it gets better for you.
  5. I'm sorry you are dealing with depression. I totally feel your pain. Maybe it's because the reality of the whole process is setting in? Such a huge lifestyle change. I wish you the best. This forum is a great tool for expressing your feelings.
  6. Tonight I realized that my love affair with food has come/is quickly coming to an end. The things I used to drool over no longer have any effect on me. A couple bites and I am completely satisfied. No more eating breakfast while daydreaming about what I'm having for lunch and dinner. I have to admit that it makes me kind of sad. Food was such a huge crutch for me for so long. However, I'm loving the new me!! Just thinking out loud. Hope you are all doing well on your journeys.
  7. That sounds pretty good. I'll try that tomorrow. Thank you for the advice!!
  8. Hi everyone! Sleeved on 3/19. Been stalled for a week. I journal everything I put in my mouth and have not gone over 500-600 calories. I use My fitness Pal to track. It logs how much fat, carbs, protein, sodium, etc for the day. My question is, what are the numbers I should be aiming for each day? I know the protein is 60g but how many carbs should I be getting per day? How much total fat is a good #? My daily totals (except protein) are WAY below what they say I should have each day. I'm going to call my doctor but just wondering what others think. Thanks!!
  9. No...I never use straws. Maybe I'm eating too fast. I don't know. I will be calling the dr tomorrow.
  10. I just started taking Prilosec yesterday so not sure if its working or not. What do you recommend?
  11. I was sleeved on 3/19 and am in the puréed stage. No matter what I eat, it burns like crazy going down and then I'm burping and uncomfortable for at least 1/2 hour! Is this normal? I'm eating the recommended foods; tuna w/ light mayo, mashed potatoes, etc. Anybody else having this problem? I'm so frustrated. I've been under my calorie goal every single day because I can't stand this feeling. #PityPartyFor1
  12. Thank you!! I was 251 day of surgery and 242.5lbs today!! It's probably because I wasn't drinking the Proteins shakes like I should. Now that I'm drinking them like directed I will probably start losing slow or (gasp) gain! Either way it's moving in the right direction!! Lol! Congrats on your loss and your surgery! Wishing you the best!! Whoo hoo!
