    Bowel movements

I was sleeved 4 days ago, when should I expect my first bm? I keep thinking it's going to happen but then nothing. My doc told me to take colace, but cutting open those gels tastes like death! Amy suggestions?

    June 11 surgery day

I got sleeved on Tuesday too. Felt great in the hospital, no nausea was sipping away at juice and water, now at home today I was nauseous 2x, wth! It went away pretty quickly though. The second time came after mixing the gross gallbladder med in cool whip. I think I ate too much of it (3 spoons to get all the meds down). I am looking forward to Saturday when I can start my yummy protein supplements and puddings. I lost 37lbs pre op, can't wait to see what comes off post op!

    June surgery dates

I did it yesterday! I feel great, yesterday no pain at all, today just a little sore at the spot they pulled the stomach out. Tolerating liquids...so far so good. A lot easier than I anticipated. Yay me!

    June surgery dates

I can't believe his much my life week change in 2 days! I go in on Tuesday.
  7. I got moved up from July so I have had to cram a bunch of stuff into the last few days to ensure my family is taken care of before I go in on Tuesday. I feel so weak from only doing liquids, I don't know if I will get my list done! I'm also starting to get nervous that this is how I am going to feel for the rest of my life since I will be taking in even less that I am now...4 days, I think I can, I think I can.
  8. I have told only a handful of people, but I am only telling people that are going to be positive about it and not give me opinions about how else to lose weight. Like this is just an easy decision that hasn't been well thought out. I haven't even told my sister much to my parents dismay, but I don't want negativity! I have 4 days until I get my sleeve. After that maybe I will share, but like others, I don't want people all up in my plate!

    Frozen protein shakes?

Can I suggest you purchase a few packets from Chike Nutrition....I right I would not be successful because I HATE that protein after taste you get from these drinks, then I found Chike. They taste like a dessert and have 28 grams off protein! Yummy is the best way to describe them!

    Seeking Buddies 5'2" & Under

I just got my date, July 23. I have lost 27lbs so far, hoping to lose 40 before my date. Looking to lose a total of 130, so only 103 to go, LOL. Being 5'2 with big boobs I fear no matter what I will always look heavy.
  13. My husband and I are both going through this process. I have to lose about 100 lbs, he has to lose 230 or so. He is very nervous that this procedure will not work for him. Has anyone gone through this needing to lose that much? Please let me know some positive outcomes!!
  14. Has anyone had an issue with excess skin?
  15. So were these weights the day of surgery, or the day you guys started the process for surgery?

    SCARED OUT OF MY MIND!

It would not be normal if you weren't scared! It's a drastic measure, but I think we have all done the same thing, lose the weight, gain it back, gain back more, and the circle goes on. I have 1 more apt with my family doc and the administrator can apply to my insurance. I am excited and scared shitless, but know this time next year I will be a different person!

what to tell, who to tell, when to tell...

I have told my parents, in laws, 2 co workers, 1 friend and of course my husband (he is on the journey with me, actually about 1 month ahead of me) I have had all positive reactions because I knew who I told would be supportive. I know with the small group that I work in they will figure it out. I was supposed to get a hysterectomy, but didn't, so they will probably think that's what I am doing I like the MYOB philosophy!
