  1. HI all, I am almost a year out and have been a slow looser since day 1. Unfortunately, due to personal trials and crisis, my weight is has not moved for 3 months, and I still have 30 pounds to loose. Has this ever happened to anyone? Is it possible fro me to re-start and loose the last 30 pounds , even if I am almost a year out ? I am terrified that I am stuck here at 175. All of this to stop midway. Please anyone who has experienced this an been able to reach goal after a huge set back please help me with some advise to start up again. I have stopped the fundamental rules post surgery and have not followed any plan. I have not gained weight, but I have not lost any either. Any help or feed back would be appreciated. I would love to have some support as I try to finish what I started .... any helps or comments would be greatly appreciated.
  2. So, even though my weight hasn't changed at all for 3 months ( my on fault) ... there's still hope at success ? What would you all think is a think is a good galorie goal at this point in my journey .... during my loss phase, I was at about 1100-1200 a day .... now, of course I eat more. What would you guys think is a good caloric intake goal to begin my weight loss again ?
  3. Hi all, I am about 7.5 months out, and I am a slow looser already. BUT this past month and a half has been hell for me personally. Need to short sale my house, boss is harassing me and I am having to make some MAJOR life decisions and changes, both personally, and professionally. Needless to say in the past month and a half, I have not followed the rules at all and I am up about 2.5 pounds. I still have about 35 pounds to loose, is this still possible after such a bad month and a half? Can I continue to loose more with the help of the sleeve ? Has anyone been through this ? Has anyone come back and lost after such a long time off the eating guidelines ? Any help, support or suggestions are welcome and needed Thanks-

  5. I don't know what is wrong, or I this emotional eating happens after the sleeve .. I have eaten All day - I never have felt like this before with my sleeve ... And I have been stretching out the food all day long - I guess that is why I have been able to fit it in my belly. I am already down 40+ pounds and have been doing great .. Is it because I ate some candy early on today and it set me up on a downside spiral ? Is it because my whole family left yesterday on vacation and I has to stay home to run our family business ? I don't know what is going on with me, I am so scared that this won't stop ! I ate 1500 Calories and excercised about 300 calories off of that so I netted about 1200 calories today - but I feel sick and so full !!! Please help - I need to start tomorrow with my head on straight !!! Please help !

    Tons of watermelon

    An anyone else eat tons of watermelon ? I seem to be able to eat lots of it and it goes down easily ... Is this bad - can I gain weight from it ?
  7. Hi all - just wondering if any of you have had great success loosing lots of weight while eating regular foods but on a portion control plan ... Say regular food but only 1000- 1200 calories a day ? Yes, Proteins first, then veggies , then the carbs? Regular food - maybe one day you are on the run so you have 4 chicken nuggets with maybe 4 fries ..., because that's all that fits in the sleeve ..... Your family goes out and you have steak, veggies and 2 bites of dessert ? Any veterans eat like this and loose and keep it off ? Any newer people eat like this and loose ? I have been doing this and have 33 pounds in 12 weeks. I am thinking I am not loosing as fast as others because I am not doing a strick Atkins Plan ... Any feed back would be appreciated - unless it is just gonna be un - constructive criticism. Thanks all you sleevers ????
  8. I get my protein with protein shake in the morning (30 g) greek yogurt snacks (14 g) etc ... Sometimes 2 shakes a day if needed
  9. I get in at LEAST 70 grams protein
  10. Did anyone else get dizzy spells ? I eat 1000- 1200 calories ... So I know it's not lack of food ? Anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this ?
  11. Yes, I used Belite. I was happy with them, however, I wish I had more information on post op diets etc.... Basically they were good, transportation was great...surgury was scheduled quickly, which is what I wanted. Facility in TJ was nice and the service was very good. Great doctors who were very attentive.
  12. It is sad, but true ...... People in general seem to treat thin people better than they treat overweight people. That's my perception anyway

  16. I am 6 weeks out - how many calories are you guys consuming and how's is it affecting your weight loss ? I see the average is 800 or so, if you work out should you up your calorie intake .... As suggested on my fitness pal ? Any thoughts ?

  20. I am 6 weeks out today .. down 21.5 ....... ONLY. sad thing is that prior to the surgury I would have though that this was a GREAT weigh loss- however, after surgery and reading posts on this sight, I feel like its not enough and I must be a failure. I am doing something wrong.... someone posted ave weight loss after 1 month is 24% .... HA ... I lost a lil more than 10 %. I have been eating about 1000 calories and burn about 250-300 calories a day 4 times a week with excersize. I would have thought I would be more successfull, maybe I need to go down to 800 cal and excercise the same amount. I don't know ... its discouraging ...... they say don't compare yourself to everyone else... easier said than done Maybe I need to throw away the scale and read different types of posts for a while - What do you guys think ?

  23. Hi all ... I am a almost 6 weeks post op and I started working out like 30 min on the elliptical 4 days a week.... I seem to be getting hungry more often though . Is this normal ? On work out days , after a workout ... I can feel like I need some food after about 11/2 hours . I am worried sow will call it grazing but as a rule I try to eat every 2-3 hours and I take in 850 - 1000 cal a day and burn about 250-350 cal a day for now. Am I on the right track . Is it normal for me to feel a little bit hungrier ? Please feedback if you would
