    Shoe size

I am 3 months out and 58 pounds down and have lost almost an entire shoe size. I also wore orthotics in my shoes the last 20 years and now find I don't need them anymore. Also to the person that asked earlier yes my feet were a size smaller when I was younger and skinnier so hoping to go back to that size again.

    Heartburn!

I take famotadine 20 mg. how much baking soda do you have to take and how do you take it plus I have never heard of aloe vera water. Where do you get that? Does the heartburn honestly go away as the weight comes off?! That would be wonderful.

    Heartburn!

I have heartburn all the time! No matter what I eat or drink I get heartburn bad!! I take prescription meds for it and am eating tums like crazy but it just won't go away. Any help appreciated ????
  6. I had surgery 5-8-13. So far so good. I am starting to try all solid foods per my Dr. Orders. I had minimal pain and no complications to this point. I have only found that dried fruit and granola bars don't work for me anymore. I get all my protein and most if not all of my fluid. I feel like I am constantly either eating/drinking. I am losing well having lost 35 pounds since surgery. I take my prescribed vitamin and antacid BUT... I always have hunger pains/stomach rumblings!! What else can I do. I thought we weren't suppose to be hungry anymore?? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

    Sugarless Chewing gum

I also chew a lot of gum. Almost constantly. Started 13 yr ago when I gave up smoking. Minty flavored eclipse sugar free actually calms my stomach down and helps me feel less gassy. My Dr never said I couldn't plus he allows straws from the beginning. Every Dr seems to be so different. Do what works for you.

    Surgery today at 12:30

Almost 1 month out and feeling pretty good. Never had problems with the nauseousness. Have had some pain at the largest incision site and bruising there also. Still having trouble getting all the fluids in but doing pretty well with protein. Definitely have restrictions with food. Only eat 4-6 bites of food and I feel a tightness in my chest. Hopefully that will relax just a little. Any good ideas on how to increase my fluid. I eat popsicles, drink water and gatorade but inly get like 30-40 ounces in a day. Side note I am down 30 pounds counting weight lost on pre op diet!!!

    Feeling TOO good after surgery?

My surgery was wednesday the 8th. I'm doing pretty well. Had some gas pain but no real pain from the incisions. The largest incision has been a little sore but not worth taking meds for. The gas pain is finally gone but I am having some difficulty getting all the fluids in and with any little bit of consumption my tummy just rumbles. Been on clear liquids since surgery but get to start yogurt, pudding, and cream soup tomorrow so maybe that will go down well. I have absolutely no hunger so thats kinda nice. So glad I did this finally!!! Nothing but better from now on!!!

    May 6 post surgery

Surgery on the 8th. Came home yesterday. The gas is greatly subsided but I am having lots of trouble getting in any fluids. I mean 2-3 sips of water and I can feel my stomach cramping. I am on clear liquids till tomorrow then I can start yogurt, pudding, creamy soups and the protein shakes but not sure I'll be able to get anything down. Hope this smoothes out soon.

    May 6 post surgery

Had surgery today at 1:30 pm. Feeling pretty good all though I'm sure the pain pump is helping. The GAS is the worst part. Kinda felt like somebody was sitting on my chest all evening. Walking seems to be the most helpful tho. So glad to be over surgery and headed to a med free happy healthy life!!!! Thanks for all the support this page has provided. Good luck to everybody!!
