  1. So sorry! I know how hard it is to lose weight with PCOS! I've had to do a 2 week liquid pre op diet and I've lost close to 20 lbs. 60-80 g of protein shakes, broth, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles is all I've lived on! It's hard, but doable!!!
  2. I have to be there at 8, surgery at 10! See you on the other side!!!!!!!
  3. Working!!!! BOO!! Had my bloodwork this morning! Good luck to all our fellow buddies tomorrow!!! I'm not even nervous yet! Is that a good thing or bad thing?
  4. Find out why you were denied. It could be something as simple as something didn't get turned into the insurance. Then you might have to file an appeal. I wish you luck!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  5. I've only got 4 days to go on my liquid diet and honestly it hasn't gotten any better for me!!! I think it's just that I hate the shakes sooo bad, I dread drinking them!!
  6. I'm not a revision, but when I first started this journey, I was adamant that I watned the sleeve. Less invasive, no malabsortion issues, things like that. But after talking with the surgeon, I decided bypass. I was not happy with the idea of still being able to eat the carbs and sweets. That's what got me in this situation to begin with. The bypass limits more of what you can eat at a time. And I didn't like the idea of possibly another surgery down the road.

I decided to go back on BC pills and not have another mirena. I think that was a factor in my weight gain after my pregnancy.
  8. I haven't had surgery yet, but my surgeon doesn't allow ice for 6 months after surgery.
  9. I wish I could eat! All I get is protein shakes, jello, broth and popsicles!! And Monday, I can't even have the protein.
  10. Nurse told my hubby that I would be in there 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
  11. My surgeon says no ice for at least 6 months after surgery??? What am I going to do without ice??? I forgot to ask why last week at my appt. I feel silly calling and bothering them to ask that. Does anyone know why?
  12. I'm one week into my 2 week liquid diet and I think I've already lost 12 lbs!!!! My Dr requires everybody to do the 2 week liquid diet. The NUT said any more than that isn't really healthy.
  13. Oh I had forgotten about the pudding!!! That actually was very good!!!!!
  14. I'm pre op and am already using Bariactric Fusion multi vitamins. I suck on them for a while, then chew them. It's not so bad that way. The strawberry seems to have the least after taste. I'm still on an iron pill, B complex and Vitamin D 1000 IU twice a day. And for now I'm doing calcuim gummies three times a day.
  15. I know that GNC will take opened packages back if you don't like them. I think Syntrax and Unjury will also within a certain time frame. I know it sucks to keep buying!
  16. I'm right there with you!!! I'm a week in and I dread the shakes!! Keep trying different kinds!!!
  17. Mine is in 7 days, so I know what you mean!! Everything will go just fine!!!!
  18. I can do the lemonade one if I add lots of ice, drink with a cup with a lid and a straw and add a lemonade Crystal light to it. But straws and ice are going to be no no's when I have surgery.
  19. I messed up last night with my liquid diet. Hubby made homemade sloppy joes and I before I knew it, I had eaten one!!! I know part of my problem is I went too long without a protein shake. But I'm having such a hard time drinking them!!! I get sick to my stomach just thinking about it! I've tried every kind under the sun it seems like!!
  20. I suck on mine instead of chewing them. I'm still pre op, but I have some samples of Baratric Fusion the Dr's office game me. I ran out of my regular multi vitamins and instead of buying a new bottle, they said I could start using them. The texture bothered me too. But I found if I suck on them for a while first, then I can chew it with no problem. the strawberry ones taste the best to me.
  21. 6th here too!!!! Doing the pre op diet and thinking I'm not going to make it!!!! AAAHHH!!! I feel like I'm nesting trying to get the house and everything in order!!!!
  22. And I even had to remove my acrylic nails when I had my gallbladder out.
  23. Yep, no jewelry of any kind.
  24. Oh what I wouldn't give for a big salad!!!! I'm not allowed anything but 3 protein shakes a day, broth, sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles. And water water water. Oh I can also have fruit juice if it's sweetened with Splenda. I don't know what I would do if I had to smell food right now!!! This afternoon has been pretty bad.
