    Do you still get hungry?

Feedyoureye, thank you for the excellent response to my long rant! It really helped. I am still up that .7, but i agree with what you said - i've dropped a lot quickly & i need to give my body time to catch up. Good tip on the water too. I never thought about it that way. Thanks for taking the time to respond! Happy Easter!!!

    Do you still get hungry?

Jo Jo, I feel the same way! I am hungry a lot. I had surgery on 3/13/13. I'm back to work today and it's helpful to have the distraction of work, but right now my stomach is so empty and I can't wait to get home and feed it! (By the way, what is "ppi?" Everybody mentions it, but I don't know what it means and its' driving me crazy!). Anyway, I DO notice that if I eat something more solid, like my refried Beans, I am satisfied. I don't feel full or stuffed, but I can eat and no longer feel hunger for about two hours. But just today I was about to call the doctor and ask him if he really did do this procedure or not! I was thinking just like you're thinking. Another thing - I can drink tons of Water at a time. I don't need to sip. Nothing happens. Last night, I chugged to the count of 8 swallows and I stopped and waited for something to happen, but nothing did. Is that even normal?! But I am down almost 20 pounds in a little over two weeks. Yesterday I ate too much and gained .7 of a pound back. I almost went berserk this morning, but I have calmed myself down this afternoon. I just want to know that I'm not alone, and I want to know that this will work. If I spent all the money (paid cash) and put myself through all that for nothing, I will just go insane!!!

    Any March Sleevers?

Kodiesmom, i felt the same way at first. I thought id never get that pukey isopure shake down after surgery, but all i did was add some blueberry crystal light & i couldnt believe the improvement. It went from yuck to almost yummy. Recently i bight the vanilla whey powder from costco. Today i opened it &added half if a scoopful to non-fat Greek yogurt & voila! It was like eating cheesecake! Keep trying. You'll find something that works for your tastebuds.

    Any March Sleevers?

You guys are right. I need to step down off the scale! It was so exciting a few days ago, watching the numbers drop. But not now. And i also agree about having a messed up metabolism. Maybe over time it will finally right itself with all i'm doing. Thanks!

    Any March Sleevers?

You made my day, Sunshine! I need to take my measurements! I think the doctor did before surgery. I go see him tomorrow. Anyway, i appreciate your reply - i just wanted to feel like i was normal. I'm feeling better now & i will try to think positive! Those numbers on the scale are powerful little creatures, eh?! And like someone just said to me, "its a journey, not a marathon." Thanks guys!

    Any March Sleevers?

Traycrow, good for you! Thats a fantastic weight loss. You have lost twice as much as i have. I didnt mean to sound negative - i was just looking for advice or possibly encouragement from someone who might be having similar problems as mine. It's scary to think i did all this for 14 pounds! :-0. I too have followed the rules and i would like to lose 120 to 130 pounds. I was just hoping it would fall off in the very beginning. It started that way, but stopped 2 days ago. I'm holding my breath, hoping & praying for a big drop tomorrow...and was just posting my emotions because i thought someone would be supportive in this forum. We're all going thru the same surgery.

    Any March Sleevers?

I'm sympathetic! Day two that the scale hasn't budged. Hmm. I'm following this diet perfectly too! It's making me crazy! And I could tell when I woke up that I hadn't lost anything. I don't feel hungry either. Could i be eating (drinking) too much? Maybe my system dropped weight so quickly that it has to like re-boot or something?! I'll keep at it. I'm just hoping that my body will lose weight on 700 - 800. calories instead of 300 - 400. (Gulp!)

    Any March Sleevers?

Sunshine, one of the major things that I noticed is that i don't swell/retain water since the surgery! It's amazing! I used to be puffy & if i wore socks, i'd have the imprint on my shins for hours after taking them off. After surgery, that went away completely! Regarding the blood thinners, i now know why he canceled them for me - i'm allergic to beef & the heparin has beef in it. Who knew! To all, i was sleeved on 3/13 & i am feeling good. I lost 7 pounds on my week of pre-op & i have lost another 7.5 since then. I feel that that is pretty good for me as i tend to be a slow loser...but then i read about people who have lost more than me in that timeframe & they are disappointed & think their weight loss is too slow, which really bums me out & does a number on my head!!! I know we are all different. I just start to panic & worry that i wont lose anymore weight! I'm having a mini meltdown today about that. Today is the first day that the scale didn't go down!! Other than that, everything is good.

    Any March Sleevers?

So saddened & shocked to hear about lifesavermt! Omg, that's depressing. My heart & prayers go out to the family. I was sleeved on 3/13. They were supposed to send me home on a week of blood thinner injections, but the dr canceled them. I dont know why. Im just taking an aspirin a day. I guess we never know when its our time...but gosh, it just doesn't seem fair.
