  1. Unfortunately my apartment is an hour away from my parents. I'm doing ok with out the narcotics. I'm going to take one before bed' date=' hopefully my stomach will heal a little in between taking them. I'm calling the doctor tomorrow to see what he thinks and how long I should feel this pain. I also finally get to take the bandage off and see the incision to make sure it looks ok.[/quote']

I hope you are feeling better! Tomorrow will be a better day for you. Take care

  2. I'm mad at my self. I didn't even think to bring my liquid pain meds they gave me with my sleeve. I came to my parents to recover from my gallbladder surgery so all I have is Percocet and dilaudid they gave me in the er when I had an attack. I switched to Tylenol today because the stomach pain from the pills started to be worse then my gb pain. I still feel like I've been hit by a Mac truck because how I have to carry my self and sleep. I did not think this was going to be as bad as my sleeve surgery but it is.

Can someone go n pick up the med from your house to bring them to you?? If u didn't have any issues before while taking it, it will suit u well.

  3. I am 7 months post op from my sleeve and I just had my gallbladder out Friday morning. I still feel like I've been hit my a train! I try to not take my Percocet but I end up in to much pain. But the Percocet has torn my stomach all up' date=' how long did it take everyone to feel better? I thought mine would be quick because I had the single incision in my belly button. I just hate being on narcotics and feeling sleepy all day![/quote']

I had my gallbladder removed at same time I had sleeve. The first 2 days were horrible, had no pain from sleeve but GB pain was escrutiating, I kept telling myself, WTH did I do to myself! My doc prescribed Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen oral solution. It wasn't hard on my tummy and went down smoothly! Worked like a charm!

  4. My surgery was delayed 5 hours yesterday. Made thru just fine. Woke up in recovery in so much pain. It's from the gas' date=' but I have not been able to pass any of it. Iv tried walking but I get dizzy and weak very quickly. They are keeping me another night in the hospital because I can not keep anything down. Not even small sips of Water. Within 5-10 mins I'm throwing it up. Mostly dry heaves, but it's painful and it sucks!!! I'm just so ready to go home :(

    Sleeve Date: March 28, 2013 First Goal 50lbs: July 13, 2013[/quote']

Same thing happened to me, doc said mainly due to anesthesia n trapped gas. Symptoms subsided a few hours later after my nausea was controlled. Had difficulty sipping liquids when I got home but things got better by post OP day 3. Hope you feel better soon.

  5. Hi everyone, I'm at day 3 post OP. I'd like to know if this discomfort when I swallow liquids and stomach/cramping will ever go away??? :( I was able to drink 50 oz liquid ( chicken broth n water), but am pushing myself to sip more. It just tummy hurts really bad when I swallow liquid. I've been active walking a lot, n passing gas. Also, do you wake up in the middle of the night to walk and sip liquids?? I'm feeling so discouraged.

Big shout out to all those March sleevers who gave in recognized their self worth' date=' put themselves first for a change and did the damn thing...Happy to be loser...Keep your head held high my BariatricBeauties&Studs.[/quote']

    You go girl!!!!

  7. I'm thinking about having my gallbladder out at the same time as the sleeve even though its not giving me any problems. Both my mom and my sister had theirs out (with stones)' date=' and they weren't even overweight at the time.

Has having your gallbladder out made any difference in how you feel? I'm not quite sure what it is used for...to hold bile or something?[/quote']

Hi!, I had my gallbladder out and sleeve done on 03/26. My gallbladder was removed because it was giving me serious issues, heartburn, chest pain due to indigestion, even left arm numbness (yikes). All gallbladder symptoms have dissapeared thank God. However, I will share that post OP, I have more pain at the gallbladder insicion sites. I don't feel pain, just slight discomfort where sleeve was done. So if u are currently having gallbladder issues I would recommend removal when you have sleeve done. This way, you go under anesthesia once, and get both procedures done ;)
