I lost from the top down. After the surgery I noticed my face being much smaller before I noticed anywhere else.

All the diets are so different and I didn't get a real good direction from my Doctor' date=' I'm on full liquids now at 2 weeks post op. when can I start doing mushy, puréed ? I'm Water logged at this point. Thanks for any advice that you have to offer![/quote']I agree with Dallas all doctors are different. I have two weeks liquid then one week purée and one week soft mechanical and then healthy diet for life

Thank you everyone. I knew this was the one place everyone would understand. He was so excited because now we can go for rides in his car.

I am so embarrassed to admit this but I have not been able to ride in my husband's car because I couldn't fit in the seatbelt. He has a 94 Toyota Celica and it is very sporty and he loves it. Tonight we had to drop my CRV off at the mechanic and I had to ride home in his. Not only could I buckle the seatbelt but I had a ton of extra space in the belt!!!!

This is so off topic and has nothing to do with your post. I am just curious about the drain. I didn't have one. How long did you have the drain? Is it suppose to help You heal? Was your sleeve laparoscopic?
About slipping into your old habits i have the same fear. I'm only 2 weeks post op and find myself nibbling on little things to see if it makes me sick I slacked off with my psychologist appointments but i see that I'm going to have to start going back. When i was going it was helpful.
The doctor explained the reason for the drain to be because that was the best way to know if there was a problem besides exploratory surgery. I had it for a week.
I am hoping going back to work is going to help. I used to be a stay at home mom but now I go stir crazy at home. :-)

I am so excited! I had my first post op appt Thursday and they took my drain out which was great as I was so sick of that thing. My excitement is from the fact that I have lost 17lbs. I was sleeved on the 27th and I sometimes wonder what I am doing wrong because I am not having any issues. I can drink almost normally with no pain. It isn't until I eat that I realize that my intake has cut down dramatically. I am just scared that if it is too easy I will slip back into old habits. I keep reminding myself that I lost about 30 lbs pre op by the changes I had already made I will not slip back because I know better. I guess I am scared of old patterns.

I am 32 days out so I consider myself a newbie. I did not think anyone was saying newbies don't know what they are doing. I took it to mean that the instructions from the doctor about what is appropriate may change depending on what stage you are at. Since I can only eat 2 oz at a time' date=' I might need to eat more frequently than someone who can eat 5 oz.[/quote']
I am only one week out and took it the same way. My diet today is going to change in a month heck even in two weeks.

When I started back in sept I was 322. My dr appt for preop I was 299. Day of surgery the hospital weighed me and I was 294. I was sleeved feb 27. I have my one week appt today and I will let you know what the scale says. :-)
The doctor's scale had me at 282 yesterday. So I have lost 14 lbs since my surgery. I know this trend won't last but dang it is amazing :-). I forgot to add that I am 5'4"

I had one inserted after I was asleep and came out the next day. The feeling was almost a tickle sensation. No need to worry at all.
