  1. I totally know what your going through. Even though I am almost at my goal weight I have stalled for the past month and I have been snacking on a little here and a little there which adds up! My greatest fear is gaining all this weight I lost! It helps a bunch that I track everything I eat on myfitnesspal but it's hard to guesstimate the mindless snacking.

I can't do shakes either but totally need to put a stop to this snacking! I'm with you. I am a food addict and I used to binge eat. I can not and will not fall back to my old ways! Let's do this! Thanks for the post!

  2. Tried posting this in the other thread that was already started but it won't let me. My surgery date was June 17 of this years...so I'm 4 months post op. Started at 230 pounds day of surgery and today I am 149 pounds. I'm 5'4ish I took these after pics yesterday and the befores are from the week after surgery. My goal is to reach 135.

  4. One thing to consider is a metabolic test. Everyone's is different. My doctor has me do a 10-minute one where I have to breathe into a machine and it tells me what my rate is. You could use that test to work with your NUT on a detailed plan for you.

Thanks! I will ask about that. Hopefully by my appt in January I will hit my goal of 135. I'm 15 pounds away from it and I know this sounds crazy but I really do hope I lose these last few pounds slowly. I am learning so much and once I hit 135 I have to continue learning how to maintain :)

  5. So I am about 16 pounds away from my ultimate goal of 135! I don't have an appt with my nut till January but I plan on calling her sooner.

My question is since I am so close to my goal do I continue to eat 800-900 calories? Or do I eventually raise my calories?

I mean I want to eventually maintain my weight so I assume I have to increase my calories. Do I just experiment with my calories to see where I will be able to maintain? I'm wondering for those who reached their goal what they did?

Thanks for any advice in advance!!!

  6. Is it normal for liquids not make me feel full? I know I have a smaller tummy' date=' but it sure doesn't seem like it at times.[/quote']

I think it's normal sometimes. I find that when I drink my liquids fast I don't feel full right away and then bam! All of sudden I'm really full! I have a horrible habit of guzzling my Water. Of course I don't guzzle the whole bottle but I have the tendency to drink it too fast. Still working in that.

If I drink it at intervals I can tolerate more. I'm no expert though, I'm 4 months out. Still learning. :)

  7. I confess that I haven't lost any weight since April and I have eaten everything that I shouldn't be eating! pizza -crackers -chicken pot pie -noodles candy- ice cream and so on.... I confess that I have not exercised the way I need to and I feel like crap because of it... I confess that I have not been taking my Vitamins the way I'm supposed to & some days I don't take any at all.... I confess that I canceled my last appointment and I haven't rescheduled it with my surgeon... I confess that I am disappointed in myself! My surgery was November 14' date=' 2012 and I have failed terribly![/quote']

Hey don't give up. Start fresh....make that appt, change your eating habits start taking your Vitamins, maybe get a counselor or group therapy, but don't give up. Like they say...you haven't failed until you have given up.

  8. I confess that even though I am down to 151 pounds and I'm a size 10, I still feel very fat

I confess I want an ice cold beer and a margarita

I confess I drink coffee every day

I confess I have less then 20 pounds to get to my goal weight and it makes me very anxious to see me at 135 pounds!

I confess I still wear some of my old clothes from when I weighed 230 pounds

  9. I had my surgery on my husbands and I anniversary and normally we dine and wine the night away...nope not this year and I was almost tempted not to have the surgery that was scheduled a few days before my anniversary just so we can wine and dine! I really had to snap out of it! I told myself this is how bad it is for me that I would reschedule my surgery so I can wine and dine! I said I can do this! My husband and I did other things other than go out to eAt. We have to learn to have a good time without food! I did some major Soup searching my first 2 months.

You'll get through this. It's your birthday go have fun but something that doesn't involve food. At first it's hard to come up with things but eventually it will change well at least it did for me.

    Happy birthday!!!

Many blessings to you and congrats on the surgery!
