  4. Great NSV! I have been getting embarassed when we eat out cause I get full on about 2 bites. Then I have the whole meal to take home. I know I shouldn't be embarassed, but I am. Good for you for ordering off the kids menu!! I think I need to either try this or eating off of everyone else's plates, like someone on here mentioned. I just hate going out to eat now!
  5. Like Stacey, I had an awesome recovery! The only thing I took for pain was Tylenol! Good luck to you! I hope you have a speedy, pain & gas-free recovery! Update us as soon as you can! Yay!! I'm excited for you!
  6. I have always loved chocolate! But after I was banded, I just stopped craving it. But today, my Mom & Grandma were really stressing me out & we had to go the store to pick up prescriptions for my grandparents. All of a sudden I had what I'd call a compulsion, not exactly a craving. It was like I had to have lots of chocolate!!! Probably the "food is my drug of choice" thing kicking in. I bought a bag of Andes mints, 3 large belgium chocolate candy bars the size of a small paperback book & 2 bags of Reeses PB cups. I haven't done anything like this in over a year. I ate 4 PB cups & was stuffed & satisfied. I gave the rest of the chocolate away. Yay!!! It felt good! I also passed up the Girl Scout cookies being sold in front of Wal-Mart!

  20. mmmmmmm......... This is so good! I fudged it a little though. I didn't feel like going into town today. I only had 4 small potatoes, so I added a large turnip. I also only had canned pumpkin, so that's what I used. I added beef boullion, salt, pepper & garlic powder. It is truely wonderful! Thank you so much! It is very hearty & filling. Thanks again!

  22. So far it's getting better. No reflux. Thank God! I suffered with reflux for years before I was banded & it was not pleasant! I spent a fortune on Prilosec. If it does come back, you can beat your sweet patooties that I will be back for an unfill, regardless of if I can eat or not!! LOL! Even if I never lost another pound, the band is worth it's weight in gold just because the reflux is gone! Or should I say, "It's worth the weight I've lost in gold!"
  23. It should be fine. I've never heard that about TAO (triple antibiotic ointment). Hmmmm...... I will say that the steri strips came off a lot earlier on one of my incisions & I used peroxide & TAO. When looking at my scars, I actually have less of a scar there. You can barely see it.
  24. WOW! I'm so excited for you! Losing that first 50 was the biggest struggle & the biggest accomplishment for me. Have fun on the slopes! I bet you'll really drop some pounds skiing! Can't wait to see the pics!
