  1. starting weight = 305 current weight 280 -25 lbs. NSV - I went through my clothes again this week & I decided to pull out the "really cute, but way too small" clothes that I have been storing in the back of my closet. I was able to wear a shirt that my Mom gave me when I was banded. It's a 1x! SWEET!!

  3. Oh dear Lord! I hope my husband doesn't see these pictures! He'll be calling you to find out where you live. Turkey season is almost here. That is the time of year my husband turns into a turkey & annoys the he!! out of me with his turkey calls!! They wouldn't be in my back yard for sure! LOL!! You have an adorable baby though!
  4. I was wondering the same thing. I'm fixin' to start gettin' worried!
  5. Cool! Congrats!
  6. Glycerine suppositories were the only thing that really worked for me. They were almost instant relief.
  7. Happy Birthday Teresa!! Hope you had a good one!!
  8. Welcome Bill! You have to come to the right place for answers & support. Kick your shoes off, cozy up to your keyboard & ask away!!! Oh yeah, nice to meet you!
  9. Glad you're feeling better! YAY!! Another bandster!!!
  10. I feel your pain sista! I haven't been able to work in almost 2 years, except for a brief trial run in a nursing home for 6 weeks, where my back promptly went out 1 week after quitting, because of my herniated discs. This was one of my motivations for getting the band. I have been to pain docs, surgeons & specialists for years & all they say is lose weight or sorry, there is nothing we can do for you. The last doctor I saw did tell me about a new disc replacement surgery that was just starting to be performed a couple of years ago, & he said I was an excellent candidate for this. YAY!! But then he told me to suffer as long as possible so they could perfect it. So here I am trying to get my body in decent enough shape for this surgery! Sorry this is so long. I mainly wanted to tell you that there are options. Don't let anyone tell you there aren't!! Hang in there!! Use ice, heat, tylenol & ibuprofen (if your doc will let you). Those are the only things that help me!!
  11. Yeah, I love to cook. But lately it seems like such a chore! Trying to find something that is band friendly & healthy, & also trying to keep Lonnie happy, is getting rediculous!! Then tonight I cooked tacos & I was so looking forward to it, but then I had an attack of killer gas!! The kind that gets up under your diaphragm & just sits there. Kinda like post-op gas! Dear lord! I'm having sympathy gas pain with the new bandsters! Jeez! this sucks! So now I don't even want to eat. It has pretty much gone now. I drank a soda & took simethicone. I just watched Lonnie eat again!! Think he'll get sick of this? LOL!!
  12. Wow! That is too cool! Can't wait to see it!
  13. I have been doing things more for myself also. & I have to tell you, it is really pissing some folks off! It seems like I was really a doormat for everyone. I am just now getting to where I don't care if they are miffed. They'll just have to deal with it! I have a life too! A new & better life that I am just discovering, or should I say " That I am letting happen". Oh! & I buy lots of clothes now!!
  14. LOL! LOL! LOl! That was hilarious Mikey! Thanks!!
  15. Lonnie doesn't feel guilty at all! & I don't make him feel guilty. He has actually gained about 10 pounds since I was banded. Go figure! I don't cook anything near like what I use to cook.
  16. Glad to hear you are doing so well!! Congrats!!
  17. 5'4'' 280 lbs. pants - size 22W-24W shirts - size 2x-3x bra - 42DD shoe - 8.5-9
  18. Give them to your skinny friends!! I have been doing this & it is very satisfying!! LOL!
  19. I just notice after my last fill that if I eat after 6 or 7pm, I am too tight in the am to eat. This has really helped me to lose in the last few weeks. If I just have to have something late in the evening I have been going for boost high protein shakes or the premixed carnation instant breakfast shakes.
  20. YAY!! Congrats!!
  21. So last night we are sitting at the dinner table. Lonnie is eating a ribeye cooked medium well with a baked potato (butter & sour cream) & a salad. I was eating a small salad with turkey breast & cheese. Then I notice Lonnie is inching his arm around his plate, hiding it from my view. Apparently, I was really watching him eat, with a look of joy on my face. It was funny! Guess you had to be there! It still amazes me how fast he eats. He can't be tasting his food! LOL!!
  22. It has been a struggle for me. I didn't realize just how many demons I actually had!
  23. Welcome Anu & Kimmy!! Nice to meet you both! Kira, I see you down there reading this post with me! LOL!! Welcome to all the lurkers! I think we were all lurkers at one time or another. But once you start posting, look out! This place becomes addicting!
  24. Donali, My husband was a snorer for years. & not regular snoring, I'm talking the kind that peel the shingles off the roof!! We tried everything & finally ended up sleeping in different rooms, & I could still hear him. I would sneak into his room & either kick the bed or shake the fire out of it. He went on a hunting trip with one of his buddies & one morning his buddy told him about this thing called a sinus cleanse pot. It's shaped like a genie lamp & comes with saline solution packets. You mix the saline in the pot & stick the spout in one nostril & then tilt your head to the side. It flushes your sinuses. I know you said you aren't congested, but neither was he. & he hasn't snored in 2 years!!!! We now sleep together again! Good luck! Snoring sucks!
