Hey! Sorry I just got around to friending you, I haven't been on here in a while. I saw somewhere that you're going through the Bariatric Center of KC--is that correct? I had my surgery through them on June 26th and have been really happy with them (although there were a few minor bumps in the road). Hi! That's great to hear the surgery went well! I'm in my last stage for food progression, so another two weeks and I'll have no restrictions (besides the obvious). I know what you mean about the eggs--everything tastes SO much better now! I also see that you've lost 40 lbs already! That's fantastic! I'm doing well also, just taking things day by day and adjusting to the band.

Congratulations!! I knew you could! You'll have to keep me posted as to when your date is. Surgery went great! I went back to school three days after surgery--although driving was a little painful. So far everything has been great!

Oh man! That's a bummer that you couldn't get an earlier appointement, but if it helps to say it, it's less than a week away! That's great that you lost 13 lbs! Yay! As for me, I'm doing well and pushing through these last few days. My surgery is on Friday! Of course, I have quite a few pre=surgery jitters, but I'll be fine! I'm just ready to wake up in recovery and know that the operation was a success! haha

I'm just checking in to see if you're done with your liquid diet (wouldn't that be great?!). If you are finished (fingers crossed) what's the next step for you? Regardless of where you're at, best of luck!

I actually haven't had the surgery yet, but go in this Friday. However, I do feel like I know quite a bit (of course, I'm not an expert). If you are interested, I recommend you attend a seminar where they will discuss the band and how it works. This forum is a great tool if you're looking to hear the stories of those who have already had the surgery (and at all stages). If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to send me a message.

Hey! Wow that's great that the liquid diet is doing it's job so well! Yeah as you say, it shouldn't be too hard as long as you stay on the liquids--I wouldn't be too worried. I'm doing great, by this time next week, I'll be on my way to the hospital! As far as the weight loss, I'm down 13 lbs! My surgeon said that I'd loose about 10-15 lbs with the liquid diet, but if I continue to lose a ponnd a day, I'll be down 20lbs--which is fabulous! Fortunately I'm not on a specific drink--although my whey protein isolate is no better. Lately, I've been mixing it with water and a little sugar free instant swiss mocha and peppermint extract--it's drinkable...no necessarily good! haha Keep up the great work!
