Freaking Out....is this normal 13 days pre-op
I am not sure of the failure rate here but I really think the percentages are quite small. If you try to eat more than you should, your body will inform you in a not too subtle way. Your chances of success are of course not guaranteed but you have an excellent shot. I think that if you have the surgery and end up gaining your weight back it has to be the result of a concerted effort to do so. Yesterday I had a Subway 3" tuna sub and it felt like I just had a porterhouse. You'll be just fine.

Loose skin
Try Palmer's Firming Butter. Works great.

April 11...soooo ready!
I went crazy eating. Was sleeved 2 1/2 weeks after my initial consultation and probably gained close to 10 lbs before surgery.

Binge Eating Food Funeral
I was lucky. My first doctor's appointment was Valentines Day and I was sleeved on March 4. I had no pre op diet instructions or restrictions and basically ate everything in sight for those 2 plus weeks. Last meal was a chili dog, onion rings and a vanilla milk shake. I have a pic of it in my phone.

No pre-op diet?
All they said was no eating after midnight the day before.

Where to buy bariatric vitamins in Australia (online or in Sydney)
Flintstones, a sub lingual B12 that I bought at BJ's .and chewable calcium citrate from drugstore.com via eBay. I think that Bariatric vitamins are all marketing.

No More Advil.....EVER!
Had my 4 week follow up today and asked when I could start taking Advil again. I wasn't a chronic user, more like once or twice a month and I was told never again. I had no idea. Guess Tylenol will have to do it from now on.

Puree protein ideas anyone?
Mix a scoop of protein powder with a container of Jello Pudding. Yummy.

if you have a leak, you'll know.

Dr. Oz
I think he's a windbag. Not to the same degree as Dr. Phil but still a windbag.

What do you eat?
I don't know. I was told all clears for 2 weeks, then 2 weeks of purees then semi soft for 2 weeks. Emphasis on high protein, low carbs but with the few calories I am taking in, not sure carbs would negatively affect me. I have a friend who used a different surgeon and was sleeved Tuesday with a BMW more than 10 points higher than me and he is drinking smoothies and going to the gym already. Doesn't sound right to me at all.

Tummy Tuck and 40 year old virgin
You should watch anything with Rob Schneider in it. You won't need to worry about laughing at all.

How long does the surgical procedure take?
Mine was under an hour but of course I told him to hurry. Didn't want to miss Judge Judy.

Overate and Feel Lousy
Was sleeved on March 4. Was in a hurry yesterday morning so I took a small container of premade Jello Pudding, stirred in a scoop of protein powder and ate it in about 5 minutes. Big mistake. Felt overstuffed and nauseous. Had to lay down for about 15 minutes for the feeling to go away. Lesson learned.

Incisions
Same. Large incision is about 1 1/2" above my belly button and is fading nicely thanks to Mederma 3x day. The other four are tiny and look like mosquito bites that I scratched too much. Almost totally healed.

Can't Eat! Three weeks post op
Oatmeal tends to expand in your stomach. Try switching to something like grits or farina. I think you'll do a lot better.
-
Isopure flavors?
Mix Isopure 50/50 with Gatoraide or Vitamin Water. Taste will be fine.
-
How about protein powder in diet sprite?
Try taking a scoop of protein powder and mixing it with a premade cup of sugar free Jello Pudding. Tastes pretty good, tiny portion and lots of protein.
