  1. It's a piece of cake. You will do just fine
  2. Ughhh I'm so sorry what insurance do you have?
  3. My psych eval was 10 minutes. I answered one test about my feelings and then he said you're done. $125 for pretty much nothing lol
  4. My insurance company requires a 3 month monitored weight loss program within the past 12 months. I saw my Dr in March and in April. My doctor said next month is my last visit. Does that make sense? Shouldn't I be seeing him until June?
  5. Wow! You look fantastic!!!!!! You're such an inspiration
  6. If I watch the video I will not be having the surgery LOL
  7. Good luck!!! Everything will be fine
  8. If I could do self-pay I would however by the time I'd come up with the money, I'd probably be dead lol! This is definitely one great reason to do self-pay...one less frustration to worry about!
  9. Thank you for your positive words
  10. Every doctor is different but mine required me to meet with a nutritionist, be evaluated by a psychologist and I needed a letter of recommendation from my PCP.
  11. I met with my surgeon on 2/25 and he gave me a checklist of things I need to do before we submit for insurance pre-approval. I met with the nutritionist and psych both of which went well. Today I met with my PCP because I need a letter from him recommending this surgery. He refuses to give me the letter for 3 months because he wants to monitor my weight. My insurance company does require a medically supervised program within the past year however I've been seeing my Dr for over 10!! He's always monitored my weight. I'm so frustrated. My blood pressure was 130/95 I'm 385 lbs. I was hoping to have surgery in 5 weeks and now I've had a huge setback. My motivation is gone...this is so depressing!!!!
  12. Best of luck to you as you begin this amazing journey!
  13. If my insurance doesn't pay I won't be having surgery. I would need to hit lotto in order to pay for this surgery.
  14. Part of my pre op requires a sono of my gall bladder. If my surgeon sees any stones or any issues he will be removing it during surgery.
  15. You look amazing and just an FYI the hat doesn't look goofy
  16. My psych eval was a joke. I filled out one page which was about my feelings for the past month. The other two pages were about anxiety. Once I was done he looked at everything and asked me no questions. He then said he recommends me for bariatric surgery and that everything would be sent to the surgeon the next morning. That was it! I was looking forward to pouring my heart out to someone!!!! As I was walking out the door he said your going to look great after surgery! Gee thanks!
  17. I had my first YI a few months ago. I used the Monistat 1 day and it took a week before I felt better. Make sure you're 100% before you have sex because it hurts if it isn't gone! Eat yogurt..that will help! Did you recently have your period?
  18. Hmmm not sure! There are tests that you can buy at your local pharmacy to test for an UTI. I urinate like 3-4x a day max. When I have a UTI I go like 15-20...no exaggeration.
  19. UTI: Feeling as though you have to urinate even after you've just urinated. Also, I've found that there wasn't really a "stream" of urine. It doesn't hurt...it's more annoying than anything. Yeast infection is just terrible. I'd describe it as a combo between your hooha being on fire and poison ivy. It hurts to pee...it hurts to do anything really lol. Monistat is a life saver for a yeast infection! Hope you feel better and get some relief soon!
