I'm 2 months out. At weeks 5-6 I noticed my appetite came back, before that I had none. It made me panic for a minute but then I realized it was just part of the healing process. About that time I had a latte with some Syrup in it (intentionally because I was feeling bad). That syrup gave me carb cravings for 3 days after! Now I notice that sometimes I just have "hungry" days where I get hungry every 3 hours or so and have to put something in the tank. I did feel like my capacity increased slightly at weeks 5-6 so perhaps it is normal.
For me when that happen in the begining it was my stomach making acid so once the meds got in I didnt feel the hunger any longer..still today if im stress and my stomah makes more acid I feel it again and I was sleeved 6/18/13

Ok, so 2 weeks post op... week one down 5 pounds, week 2... less than a half at -0.4 pound... I am upping my exercise, going easy for now as I'm still healing... following the couch to k program and walking the dogs everyday for 30-45 minutes, I've been doing well with fluids and pretty sure my calories have been between 400-700 every day between my Protein shake and one or 2 servings of creamed Soup.
Daily I get:
Protein: min 75 grams
Water/fluids: min 70 ounces
Exercise: 30 min to 1 hour of cardio per day
I'm pretty sure, in a week or 2, I'm just gonna see a big drop. I just think my hormones are wacked (I think I've been pms'ing since around time of surgery and my body just is having a hard time adjusting so Water retention may be playing a role.)
Open to any other suggestions or just plain old encouragement especially from any PCOSers out there that know the weight loss resistance struggles and hormone struggles... but I'll take encouragement of any kind.
Just feel like I'm doing everything and wanting to stay positive despite the quick stall on the front end of this journey. Seems like most folks drop so much in the first month/s. I know it will work even if it takes me longer... just looking for a pick me up from others who have been here before me!
Thanks all!
I agree stay off the scale it plays with mind. ..take pic to see your hard work is paying off and measurement because when u in stalls cause we all have them from time to time...

3 weeks post op and finally starting to feel "normal". Was just getting my energy back and had started working out on my elliptical when I just had to fall down a flight of steps! No breaks or fractures showing but my foot is so swollen they can't do an MRI to see if anything is torn. So now I'm in a boot with strict instructions to keep it elevated for one week when I have to go back to the orthopedic Doctor.
I can't even begin to tell you how frustrated I am!!!
Y'all got any chair exercises or any advice for me?
There are many chair excerise videos on amazon....google it first and do your research as to what you want to accomplish and find one to fit your level..I used them avlot in the beginning. Once I was able to move a little better as I lost weight I found something else to meet my level..

I have psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. This causes me pain each day, and makes exercise for weight loss (I have always had to do major workouts to lose consistently) very difficult. I have begun the process to be sleeved by September. Anyone else done this procedure with an autoimmune disease? How has it improved or worsened the symptoms?
My rheumatologist tells me that the weight loss will help the medications work better (at lower doses), and my surgeon says they deal with AI issues regularly. He did say he would not put in the band, because that can exacerbate symptoms.
Thanks in advance!
