Glad all is good. Just take it easy. And very proud of you for taking precautions by going to the hospital. Better safe than sorry.

I am now 17 days post op but I so remember the day of my surgery. I had the most aweful feeling of what have I done. I felt life as I knew it was over. You start to feel as if you will never eat normal food ever again like social events are a thing of your past. I just kept praying and praying for gods help. I so badly wanted to get on here and scream don't do it don't do it. I'm glad to say things are much better. It gets easier day by day. I am now down 30 lbs and that's helps with the adjustment. Just take it day by day.

Hi all! I am 16 days post op today. I had a little set back with surgery and required 2 things of blood and had to stay 2 days longer than I planned. The concern I have is that I still don't have any strength and was wondering if everyone else is having the same problem. Maybe I'm just too impatient but I'm normally a very busy active person.

Im so sorry that yours got pushed back. I have been so worried about that happening.

There are so many people on here that I hope I get the chance to meet sometime. Maybe i can meet some of you at the support groups meetings.

Thank you megs81. I have done the liquid diet as asked and am on my broth today. Who thought broth would taste so good. Im ready for tomorrow.

I cant believe I just found these posts today. My surgery is tomorrow with Dr.Varnell. I still dont know what time, I m still waiting for my phone call. I am so excited to get started on my new life and then I start feeling scared. I am scared to death that something bad will go wrong during surgery and I will develope a leak or infection or something. I just keep praying and then I feel a little better until it creeps up on me again.

I would like to do a marathon also. When and where is it? Im definately going to need to train.

I want to say good luck to all of you March 1 sleevers. I will be praying for all of you. I will be praying for the physicians steady hands and for speedy recoveries. I hope to see posts from all of you tomorrow or the next day. March 6th wont be soon enough for me. Im sick of this liquid diet.

My surgery is scheduled March 6th 2013. I am 5'6 and my beginning weight was 250 lbs. I started my liquid diet on 2/20/13 and I am down 12 lbs. (Yay Me!) My surgeon is Dr.Brandan Varnell @ Bailey Bariatrics.

I had a really bad time on day 3 of my pre op diet. I cried and cried for several hours. I seriously thought about giving it up. I kept saying why oh why am I doing this to myself. I was so hungry too. I went ahead and ate a cup of chicken broth and a few crackers. It helped a lot. I am now on day 7 of the liquid diet and it is better at times. I am not hungry really but I miss food. March 6th cant come soon enough. I am actually looking forward to it because I know that no matter how bad it is I will be on the uphill climb.

I am on day 2 of the liquid diet and its one of the hardest things I have had to do. I miss food so bad already. I know I can do this and need to because taking short cuts and giving up is what got me here in the first place. The hardest things in life are the ones we appreciate the most.

My surgery is not scheduled until the 6th. I have to do a 2 week liquid diet. I get 5 carnation instant shakes plus up to 2 sugar free popsicles and sugar free Jello. I am not looking forward to that. I have already informed my husband and daughter that I will not be doing any cooking or grocery shopping. I have got to find something to do to try to keep me occupied so that I want any food. I am aloso a big coffee drinker and I am worried about doing away with that. I keep telling myself that this will be temporary and I can do anything I set my mind to.

I start wednesday. My surgery will be march 6th. Very excited to get started. Good Luck.

Good luck to all of you. Wish I was that close to surgery date. I know you will all do good. I can only imagine that you are nervous as should be expected but on the other hand how exciting to know that you are getting ready to start a new chapter in your life.

I am scheduled to have my sleeve done on March 6th 2013. I am a bundle of emotions. I am not sure where to start. I am excited that this forum is here for me to refere to. I am ready to get this party started.....i think.
