  1. I was also a HEAVY Coke drinker. No headaches or withdrawals. I never realized there was so much other stuff to drink. Good luck.
  2. I am the same way. I love food!! I had a 2 week food funeral and gained 5 pounds. It really helped cause there is nothing I crave right now. I thought it would be harder. Dont get me wrong its not easy. I drink a protein shake for breakfast and dinner. Sugar free jello and broth through out the day. I love the broth from a bouillon cube, not can or box. Crystal light is my bff. You can do it!!
  3. I make it the same way but I use a rotisserie chicken. Yummy!!!
  4. Lucky y'all! I am on day 2 of 14 day liquid diet. Hardest thing I have ever done. Also day 2 of not smoking. I would love a bite of anything that's not liquid.
  5. Glad to hear your doing well. Thanks for sharing your experience. 2 weeks and I will be there. Can't wait!! Good luck and keep us posted. Have a great day.
  6. Good luck!! I will be there March 30.
  7. I told the truth to the my family (husband, kids, mom and grandparents), and about 3 friends. I didn't even tell my sister. I really don't care who knows after the surgery. I just don't need peoples opinions, negative remarks or someone trying to talk me out of something I feel strongly about. Hurry up March 30, I'm ready!!!
  8. I chose Alvarez. I will be sleeved March 30. My decision came after much research. I am so happy with my decision. Good luck!
  9. That's good to know. Thank you
  10. That is great! I am so excited, I can't wait. I start my pre op Sat. Not looking forward to that part but I will be OK. Glad to speak to someone that went to Alvarez, not that many people on here go to him. Have a great day.

  14. How is your pre op going??? Hope all is well.
  15. I planned a summer trip also 2 months after surgery. I asked if it would be OK to ride roller coaster and she told me anything after 30 days would be OK.
  16. Not scheduled for VSG until March 30 but starting pre op on the 16th. I have spent a fortune on food for pre op and post op. Today I have decided to try what I have bought. I can't stomach any of it!!!! I understand as a nurse the importance of getting the proper nutrition. I have 2 weeks pre op liquid diet, 1 week post op clear liquids, 2 weeks post op full liquids, that is 5 weeks of liquid. Omg....if I can't stomach the taste now how am I supposed to stomach the taste afterwards??? Does your taste buds change after surgery? Am I going to just be thankful that I have something to drink during this period. I just don't know what to do at this point.
  17. Tonight before bed is my last cigarette. Smoke free as of tomorrow. Going cold turkey. As far as I know of you have to be nicotine free. The patch contains nicotine. Good luck.
  18. I wish! I have to wait till Spring break. Good luck.
  19. What exactly is a slider food??
  20. Is anyone getting sleeved with Dr Alvarez Easter weekend?
