She's great!!!

I had my surgery at Newton Wellesley in May. Loved it!!!
-
Thanks everyone!!!
Robyn -- you look great! I have neuropathy in my feet, and frequently end up off my feet (by force!) and on a scooter. Have you had a steady weight loss? What did you surgeon have you do to reduce the risk of post-surgical clots? I know the standard protocol is lots of walking, but I don't think that will be the case for me, and I'm looking for alternatives. I'll be taking Heparin injections for 10 days post-op, and my AFOs have a compression feature.
@VSG AJH - my surgeon put me on a blood thinner for a month post-op. I also swim for exercise.

I'm 10 weeks out and am finding myself able to eat less and less. Still struggling with nausea too. Feeling down.

Thanks for the ideas! Unfortunately, I'm not a seafood fan.

I'm getting sleeved tomorrow. In January, when I began the process, I weighed 186.7. As of Saturday (two days ago), I weigh 171.2. I am 4'11".

My surgery is scheduled for May 21st. Pre-op diet starts on Tuesday. I am so excited, so anxious, so nervous...and a million other feelings!!!
-
Thanks everyone! I feel confident in my decision and just hope she'll come around. In the meantime, I'll suggest she check out the forums.

I told my family today that I'm having surgery on May 21. Although initially supportive, my mother has apparently done some "reading" and wonders why I'm not having lap band instead. Is there any info out there that I can share with her?
-
My information was submitted to insurance on 4/30 and approved 5/3 (BCBS) and 5/6 (MassHealth). My surgery is scheduled for 5/21 at Newton Wellesley Hospital. Yikes!!!

Both insurances (Federal BCBS and MassHealth) have approved me and my surgery is scheduled for May 21! Now I am freaking out! An absolute bundle of nerves. I still need to tell people (the only person who knows is my boyfriend)! I need to tell my family but don't know when. Friday is my sister's graduation and Sunday is Mother's Day. I don't want to steal anyone's deserved attention. Do I tell them now or wait until next week? Help!!!
