So far it's been good. I was hopeful to be one of the lucky few who don't have pain. Not my case' date=' the morphine makes me sick and throw up so we had to switch. I am loaded on anti nausea meds still. Right now feels a lot better then this morning. They said I can go home tomorrow. I hope i feel a lot better by then.Biggest thing is, I have a lot of pain and don't doubt or regret the surgery one but.[/quote']
The pain will ease up in a few days.

I had my surgery 5 weeks ago today. I have had ups and downs but I would not change my mind. I have lost 32 pounds and I can play with my young sons for the first time without being exhausted or in constant pain.

I have Aetna as well. My VSG was on 12-31-2012 it only took 3 days for approval once I had completed all of the requirements that Aetna has. Your surgeon will guide you in what you have to complete to get insurance approval it does take some time but all in all it took me right at 4 months to complete everything and get my approval.
