I sympathize with you, Sumsuz68! My 5 year old daughter has been in the hospital since Friday because her vomiting turned into vomiting blood. This morning my 11 year old son started vomiting. I'm scheduled for my EGD tomorrow, and cardiac stress test on Tuesday. I was already cutting it close, as my surgery is In 12 days (March 8), and there's no time to reschedule anything if I get sick. Praying!

Actually, Pepper Paul, now that I've gone back through all 27 pages of this thread, and looked at your posting history on your profile, to see how I could have missed your post, I see that you haven't made any prior posts in this thread, so I didn't actually miss anything. And not sure how I was expected to know about you? Sorry, Paul. This is harder than it looks. I have to go through pages of comments and in some cases try to decipher what is being said, and find a date buried within the messages. I am in Monmouth County, and being sleeved by Dr. Karl Strom on 3/8/13, at Bayshore Community Hospital. As it just turned midnight, it is only 12 days away!

I just want to reply, as a guy, that I don't understand the people saying it's an ego boost to have a girl gag on it. I would personally feel uncomfortable hearing that, and knowing I was causing her discomfort. I know she is doing it for my pleasure, and it shouldn't be completely undesirable for her. I'm comfortable with my size, I dont need to hear her gagging on it to feel better about myself. It makes me ashamed to be a guy to see people saying that. Hell, I'm fine with just being licked if it was ever an issue!

LOL, thanks Hazel. I do feel like I'm ready, I know I can do this, and know that this is what is needed to get me to be able to lose and maintain the weight, and get me off my meds and healthy for my family. I just was having doubts, as one of the 'selling points' for the surgery at the seminar I went to said that doing the Atkins or any high-protein diet long term is not feasible or healthy, yet it sounds like that's how I'll be living the rest of my life? I update the list every morning, I will add you tomorrow!

See, that is exactly what concerns me about this whole thing, and makes me question if I should even go through with it. I've done low carb diets, and actually did quite well on them. I lost 40 lbs in 3 months once doing high protein and low carb. Then when I went off the diet, I gained back 50. So, if this is just a glorified 'diet', then I could probably do this on my own without surgery. Someone please tell me I'm crazy for having doubts, and that I need to do this because it is a tool for long-term success.
