  1. The day of my surgery I went in with a BMI of 30.9, a little lower than it had been in the previous weeks. I'm looking forward to being "normal" weight after about 20 years. I'm on my way.
  2. Healthy& Skinny I will keep you posted as I am being sleeved by Dr Ortiz at OCC today.
  3. I am planning to give a true detailed count of absolutely everything about this trip as I am in Tijuana now and being sleeved by dr Ortiz today. As I was researching I found it to be most helpful by reading others. Dr Ortiz was the only one I felt comfortable with at the end of the day. Keeping my fingers crossed that I was right. So far, so good. I'm in the lobby of the Marriott waiting for the driver to take me there.
  4. I fly out early tomorrow morning! Good luck to you girls!
  5. You look fantastic! Keep up the good work.
  6. I leave early Sunday morning. Glad to have the lists of what to pack.
  7. With who? I'm April 15th with Dr Ortiz at OCC
  8. I will. I plan to write a detailed account of it all. When I first started looking into this I dug all over looking for stories and info. I'll do that for others. And afterwards at the loss.
  9. Haha yea. That's what I got. I'm praying to have results like yours.
  10. Thank you! That helps me! Did you tell people that you were having it done? Did they think you were crazy?
  11. No. Monday. I'm really nervous about it tonight. And I think I'm crazy for doing it at the low BMI but I'm so sick of getting heavier every year. My family is obese and It is not healthy for me to yoyo diet the way I do.
  12. What did it for me was when my BMI of 32.2 said i was obese. That word was the sign for me.
  13. Yes, I'll be at the Marriott on the 14th and y surgery is on the 15th. One week! Good luck on yours!
  14. That's wonderful! Is there anything that you didn't take with you that you wish you would have?
  15. Thanks. I can't wait to get there!
  16. Is anyone from here going to be at the OCC around the 15th?
  17. I don't have a pre op diet, I am just to be the same weight as when I spoke to them 176#. But...I gained some in the meantime so I started a diet today of one protein drink, no junk food and healthy eating, lots of protein and salad. Hopefully I can lose about 7 lbs.
  18. Ill be just missing you girls. I'm coming in on the 14th and being sleeved on the 15th. Keep us posted on the details please. I'm starting to get so nervous and excited!
  19. This is the first negative post I've seen about occ and dr Ortiz. I'm shocked and worried as I am set to go there on April 15th. Can anyone tell me more??
  20. Ms.antiBand...I'm going to have to continue to work at it the rest of my life. I have come to that understanding. I am hopeful that this surgery will assist me. Today I am feeling doubtful though, wondering if ill be the one that it doesn't work for!
  21. I am having surgery on April 15th and have a bmi of 35. I can't wait!
