  1. Carbonated drinks not on the program so I stopped pre-sleeve and have not had any. Surprisingly, I do NOT miss them.
  2. Slider food, you can eat more & more & more and MORE... We all have some... chips, Cookies, junk.
  3. Brother Ken, I think you did great! Keep explaining and your Mom will come 'round. I had my first wine in 6 months. It was excellent, and that's it till Christmas...
  4. Don't disagree, and since it took me THREE times to find someone to STAY in love with how could I. BUT... now is not the time. Your mind is in a fragile state and you do not - cannot - make clear decisions now. And no matter what get counseling for yourself... first.
  5. Darling dear, our lives and weight loss may be complicated by (in my case at least) ages, I I still have a lotta life in me. So do you. And thinner will help. What do do with our freakin fat brains is another freakin matter. Pleople say "man you look good", rather than say thanks, I often say, well, I see myself naked...
  6. not directly related, but shoot, have faith!!!
  7. Our turkey is traditionally prepared by my vegetarian sister... Go figure...
  8. I gave up many months before the sleeve and forgo-ed the food funerals.
  9. Thankful... enjoyed famly and friends and food was not the be-all, end-all of the day...
  10. Nope, nobody gave my group such an average...
  11. After 3/4 days it'll be a piece a cake (without the cake)
  12. Depends on what you mean by "with you". I am with you, it's hard. But I felt (vis my research) that it was pretty important. Do it!
  13. And Rule # 3 "Mom's are crazy"
  14. yeppers, we have all been there. But this shall pass!!!
  15. Chris, consider pureeing... You may get a slimiest surprise... I know I did when I pushed the envelope a bit early in recovery...
  16. Why DON'T you get to celebrate? Have a great time with your family and friends, and think about this: Food does not need to be the center of attention -- the reason for every celebration!
  17. Your GI track is going through some BIG changes. It WILL get better, but don't trust them farts...
  18. Me too Life. I am in a 3 week stall... But I believe that if we stick with our program, this too shall pass. Just avoid the One Big Mistake... giving up.
  19. I want EVERYTHING all the time... Luckily, wanting is very low calorie. But if there is an add on TV, then that restaurant is OFF LIMITS to me. Taco Bell is out (for me)
  20. I wanted to be left alone. My loverly wife waited on me my first day home but stopped when she (finally) realized that I neither needed or wanted the extra care. PS, I am a TERRIBLE patient.
  21. because you are double trouble? Double fun? Just double lucky?
  22. Hey Lips... I had to lose 100# before I even ONCE saw any difference in the mirror. I have lost weight before (and kept it off for a long time). I feel that then it took me over a year at the "normal" weight before I started to accept the size of the new me. But even then, Inside the skinney man was a fat man longing to get out. That's why I keep harping about the "fat Brain". THIS time it needs to be forever. I have had the surgery. I am reducing stress (stree is a SUPER trigger for me) by retiring soon. I am (slowly) doing well on my journey. I will lose the weight. I will keep it off. But I bet I'll be with my fat Brain "Skippy" till the day I die.
