  1. Im up too :-( cant sleep at all

I have to be at the hospital at 530am

So nervous and now reading more My doctor didnt tell me to take any kind of cleanser

Did you all took anything enema? Or anything

No, no cleansers of any kind. Although my stomach was a wreck last night because of nerves, I think I cleansed ok :( I'm headed to the hospital soon, I have to be there by 0530 and I live about an hour away. Surgery is at 0730. Good luck to all!

  2. OMG guys!!! It's tomorrow!!! I've managed to stay pretty up beat through out this whole process but' date=' today I find myself really uptight and anxious. I know it's the nerves, I have a bunch of loose ends to tie and it really hitting me rndde14[/quote']

I agree! I think I'm in denial that this time tomorrow it will be done! Running around today tying up all those loose ends. Laundry, shopping, etc. I'm sure I will not be able to sleep tonight, but I have to get up at 0330, so it doesn't matter lol

  3. I get my time to report to the hospital Monday too. I am already having weird dreams about work and surgery. Tomorrow will be my last day at work for two weeks and we are already behind so it is kind of stressful. I told my coworker bough that after Monday I CANNOT be thinking about work. I need to be thinking of my recovery. How long is everyone else taking off?

Just a week, but then I will work from home for two weeks.

  4. Uhm' date=' when I started I was a 24/26 pants and 2x top. After surgery the the sizes kinda just flew downward.. but let me tell ya it's great not to have to pay 50 bucks for a pair of pants in Lane Bryant!

I can shop anywhere! Clearance racks here I come!

    I am currently a 12 pants m/L top and I have 30lbs to go![/quote']

I can't wait! I took the first step and "unsubscribed" from all of my Lane Byant communications yesterday! Will work on the other plus size clothing e-mails today :)

When I went to my pre-op testing and instructions, they told me to take all my normal meds with a sip of Water, so I am much relieved about that! Tuesday here we come!

  6. Omg guys it's our last weekend b4 our surgery! It's the home stretch now how's every1 doing???

I'm a bit depressed. Haven't been on the scale for a week and I jumped on this morning to check how my pre-op diet was doing for me and I was 2 pounds up! Discouraging :(. I have been so good, high Protein, low carb, plus my shakes, under 1000 cals a day, just as prescribed. Makes me wonder if I will be able to lose with surgery?!

On the other hand, it's hard to believe its almost here! Mine is early Tuesday morning. I keep thinking the hospital will call and say they have to delay, I need more clearances, etc.... I'm just being paranoid, I guess. Trying to keep up a positive face :). Good luck to everyone this week!

  7. How did the probiotics make you gain weight? I didn't realize this was a side effect and I may have to talk to my doctor about this tomorrow :(

I had irritable bowel. The probiotics fixed that and that's how I gained weight. It may not be a problem for most people, but it was for me.

I will say they were a lifesaver with the irritable bowel. No more diarrhea with the probiotics! It was/is wonderful.

  8. Hey CCarterRN' date='

My pre-op diet took a toll on me more mental

then the actual hunger pain, it's funny how I caught an episode of The Dr. Oz Show and he had a special guest on that wrote a book about toxic hunger. The pain or "hunger" I was feeling was the body's way of releasing the toxins from the processed foods I was eating.

So after my will was tested on Friday,(Breakfast which included a simple toasted buttered roll) everything else seemed like a breeze to me.

This journey is so much more mental and now it feels real! I'm really excited bc having a date makes it real but the pre op dieting let's me know that it's game on!![/quote']

I agree with you! I am drawn to foods I like just because they are there. NOT BECAUSE I AM HUNGRY!!! It's definitely a test of mental strength!

    Good luck!

  9. I'm so thankful for this thread. I take lisinopril every morning and if I forget, by noon I have a pounding headache. My surgery is scheduled for the 25th, first thing in the morning, and I've even thought about getting up at midnight just to take my pill! I know i have to trust in the medical system to take care of me, but it sounds like I may not need anything?! Thanks for sharing!
